I think a key difference is scalping has serious limitations when exposing your broker, technique etc...However, if you are doing something that requires more discretionary trading, then everything is ok.This reminds me of a thread on FF about leverage. Most people on this thread said anything over 1:10 or 1:50 is rediculous and not needed. Kenny,You are definitely giving, no doubt, it shows in your actions. I agree that keeping trade history may be in your best interest, especially hiding it from your broker as they are definitely working against you. Or, if your system is 100% non-discretionary, then of course, you do not want it copied. Or, if you business is to sell trading strategies through wrapping them up etc... To each their own... :) But, MOST PEOPLE don't fit that criteria and struggle with the concept of 'the pie is big enough'. :) Although, I have yet to see any of the "100% non-discretionary...

I disagree and agree with you. :)You have a good point. If you are not marketing for investors, then if a specific investor wants more info, great, give it to them! However, the mindset of 'someone else will steal my hard work' is one of limiting beliefs. The silver platter comment is always an interesting one and I believe it shows something about you personally about scarcity thinking. There is more than enough pie for everyone. Even if your system was the greatest on the earth (which I highly doubt), than 99% wouldn't be able to execute it unless you are a complete and bum...

Ok, the experiment is coming to an end. I will keep a small amount of $ in this account to trade only USDJPY until further notice. Winding down trades now.I think it could withstand, but for 6% monthly return, I believe the risk could be just too high in my opinion. Plus, I am making 10+% on my other semi-auto system that I am going to do a PAMM with and I would like my focus on that. This was fun, and doable, just no time to manage it. :)gil

I moved this over last week to produce 2 X 50.00 baskets for about 20 currencies.This means, when it hits 50.00 it blows up. The last 2 weeks were quite volitile and I decided that I will also end my 100.00 basket test for now on a smaller account. So, for now, I will continue testing this until it reaches -200.00 total (1800.00) equity and see what happens. For this to work, we need a ranging period! :) haha...I will probably end this at some point and just convert my main account to a 50.00 basket account if it is profitable and increase the lot amounts. I was reading the forum a bit on the micro grid and I did do a quick live test using Micro-Grid settings. Actually about -250.00 that I have lost in the last 1.5 weeks started as micro grid settings, but I changed them half-way through as I was getting killed.I haven't thought about the 10 different variations with low and high volatility... My 100.00 baskets I am shutting down... I have about 5 currencies that are all about to hit. I will close them all as promised at 100.00, or I may just move cash over and close them out.I think doing them off the 1M doesn't work as well when market runs hard, but better when ranging of course...Gil
