Man I am getting my butt kicked by GBPUSD. It hit major support around 1.6000 and has been bouncing off that level, confusing my robot and costing me bigtime. I think it's time to turn off the robot and trade manual to try to get caught up. 😞

What gap? This dude lost his money fair and square. That's what you get when you have 5 open trades of 1000 lots each and get a margin call. I guess the stopout level must be 100% or even more.

Same happened to me. I completely forgot about the contest until I got an email saying something like "it's been 2 days and we haven't seen any trades" and I didn't get that email until the 3rd day 😞

Here are some interesting numbers. These numbers are approximate. Of all the contestants in the competition, there are...145 above opening balance831 at opening balance (no trades)385 below opening balanceOnly 530 people trading out of 1361? I wonder what the 831 non-traders are waiting for?

I'm not sure exactly how it works but I think in order for you to place a 1000 lot trade your broker would have to have 100,000,000 dollars to exchange with the central banks on your behalf. I don't believe there are many brokers who can afford to do this, or even would be willing to do so if they could afford it.

FYI, I'm also entered in another contest. Surefire Trading Challenge. Much stricter rules than this one. Starting balance is $1000 and maximum size of all open trades combined is 0.5 lots. It would be interesting to see how the high-leverage scalpers would do in that contest.

My trading is a combination of a new robot I designed and me intervening with the robot's trades. No manual trades. All I do is watch the open trades and if it looks like a good time to close, then I close. The robot places all trades (for now anyway) and uses trailing stop and take-profit to manage the trade but sometimes I will close a trade early if it looks like the price is reversing.It's not likely I'll end up winning the competition unless all the super-high-leverage scalpers take a big loss and let me pass them. And even then I need to beat all the steady growth traders. So...

Ok, new version and I think I'm close to the final version. This one runs on GBPJPY and is tuned to gain 9% per week, which can turn $100 into almost $9000 in a year's time. But my goal is to triple the account every 12-13 weeks. It can go up to a week in between trades, but that's by design. And now... I just switched the robot to run on a new currency pair (AUDUSD). The setting is super-aggressive so I wouldn't be surprised if the account goes to zero in the blink of an eye. But the hope is to double the account (or more) in a month. We'll see how it goes.

Just "Improved" the entry logic once again. Totally new version of robot with different operation modes depending on how aggressively you want to trade. Currently set to the very aggressive mode but with lower profit target than the original.

I just changed the entry logic on this one so that it doesn't wait so long for a signal. Entry signal is completely different now than it was originally. I will probably tweak it more over time but for now this new method should suffice.If this experiment works for me then this robot will be the companion to my book, "The Forex Millionaire Maker", which can be found at http://www.Millionaire-Maker.org/

I disagree. If I wanted to trade other people's money, then I would publicly display my results in the hopes of finding investors. But if I just want to teach people to do what I do then I am only going to share my info with those who want to learn from me. The act of signing up for a mailing list is just the first step that says "hey I wanna hear what you have to say".

I have pretty much destroyed this account with some failed robot experiments. It was up over 500% at one time by simply running Forex Set and Forget on it with no human intervention. But in the last few months I used up all those gains in my feeble attempts to make an "explosive growth" robot that works in all situations. Oh well. Maybe with some luck I can bring it back to over 500% in the near future.

I will. In the next few weeks I will be putting it on a $500 live account at Forex Place to see what happens. If it performs as good as it has been on demo then I will increase the deposit to maybe $5000. Remember, this thing was run on a live account for the contest. It's one of the reasons why I invested in it.

There's a new version of Forex Set and Forget coming out soon. I have put the new version on all charts that apply...audjpyaudusdcadjpyeurgbpeurjpyeurusdgbpusdusdchfusdjpyThe remaining 6 pairs have not been tampered with. I had to close a trading round on gbpusd with a 5 pip loss in order to switch to the new version. Other than that, nothing going on.

I got a new version of Forex Set and Forget running on 4 of the pairs now. AUDJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY. The remaining pairs no longer work well with the new version so I'm keeping the old version running on them. We'll see how that works out.

Here is some info about the way Forex Set and Forget is configured on this account.Starting balance: $21000 (7 pairs at $3000 per pair).Trade Size: 0.1 standard lots. Trade size increases by 0.1 when account balance increases by $21000.Stop loss: 50-100 pips depending on pair.Take profit: 3 stages in steps of 50-100 pips depending on pair.Trailing stop: 25-50 pip increments depending on pair, after first take-profit level is reached.
