They don't even know what's coming. New generation. Just haven't had nothing to eat. That's why we have companies with patented seeds (read food supply) and water is privately owned. I mean when is this deb ceiling raising event? On debt that there is no hope of repaying? US will default. Question is when and how....US government is running a Ponzi. It will fold, soon as no one buys the debt. And I think you can start counting China out.

Very wrong James. We're heading for a crack up boom: http://mises.org/daily/4016The US lifestyle just isn't sustainable. Jim Rogers was saying on BBC the other day no matter how much money you have it won't be able to buy you food, in the next few years. Not decades away, 5 years or so. QE 1, QE 2.....This is not new territory. I say again, in the 70's gold was $800 and ounce, the adjusted equivalent today is $3000 an ounce. We haven't even begun mate....

Lol - that why the forex, be out of a job soon. World not so impressed with splitting the atom any more.Does my nut why no one does sub sea tidal farms. Use tide shifts with subsea hydro turbines. Places like Taiwan 7 knot subsea currents 22 out of 24 hours...It's predictable, it's green and we have the technology...

Well,I'm on a bender in the jungle till further notice. So no blocking anyone. Zero here can do with a bit of unblocking, see Zero, if you block everyone, no one can bump your threads and you end up talking to yourself.

Some guys can really just read the market Chikot. But I don't want to sit the rest of my life guessing markets. I need something consistent that provides day to day income. That's a bit more tricky. I did 78% on this account manually in 3 months. I can do it again, but that's not the goal here....for me anyway.

This is most definitely a math problem on every level, but also a trading philosophy problem. And the answer's can't really be found in manual trading any more. Those days have come and gone...Can bet your boots Goldman Sachs and the rest of wall-street have tried both these with teams of programmers and mathematicians. One can always hope you spot something they missed, but what are the chances?

Then there's swarm theory. But again it's beyond the scope of this lifetime for me. Love to try both of those, but will take years and more money than I currently have....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swarm_intelligence

Chikot, There are other ways of handling risk. Hard stops are not required for a successful strategy, but you need to see some losses (the actual amount dependant on quality of open) going through, if none are then there is a fat tail issue for sure. If you're not taking your losses you're running them. Simple as that. Just have to look up to see how that ends. I agree with most of what you say, but the determination of when to take a loss does not need to be hard stop, it could be an equity value for example. @10% DD drop 3% of position or/and hedge 6% or something like that....

It is in fact. It could be one of probabilities which goes with statistics and/or relationships. There is Mandelbrot's fractals....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set and a few other ideas, nothing Zero here will be onto....even if he was very unlikely he'll be able to work it out. Need a genius for this.I personally would like to apply fractals to fx but it's beyond my resources and expertise and most likely intelligence. Unlike our friend Zero I'm realistic enough to know when it's out my IQ bracket. Fx is definitely fractal by nature. Elliot wave proves that. Be...

There is an fxbook API...so I guess most things would be possible...Ok, maybe not - I looked, didn't see anything pertaining to it, perhaps they can include it in the API.

Look I wish you the best. Certainly put in the effort. That I can't fault. But the speed of the equity changes and the lack of losers tell me it's an over leveraged fat tail....

Turns out my post wasn't pulled, the entire thread was, sorry fxbook. When I see this kind of behaviour I just see red...what kind of individual uses 3 identities to bump his own thread?
