Damn that image looks complicated 😄How do you know when to switch over from OCO to GRID and vice versa? The grid must "work" enough time to make it worthwhile or else you'll just get more losses.

This is becoming more and more popular - buying existing EA's, and decompiling them to fit it to your own needs. Have you successfully modified an EA to a better version? And how do you work with a decompiled version? Isn't it all gibberish in terms of variable names?

I've tested grids in the past and haven't found anything to work. It looks great in the beginning until you thoroughly test it with different scenarios - you can slow down the fat tail but never lose it.

The first system looks like on a losing streak while the second one looks to be making profit. Are those 2 systems the same only with a different leverage?

How do you trade "in a team"? Do you share your trading systems with each other and mutually agree on each position taken? Or are you simply combining your trading systems to get a stronger signal?

The correct link is actually http://www.myfxbook.com/members/glcfx/eu-account/17392416 trades in a row without a loss - is that a grid strategy?

I think this is a wise decision. Although you might be tempted to make more money more quickly, you should always be prepared for the inevitable. With big gains comes big risk.

Yes, I agree with sharpforex - you're over leveraging your account which will probably get you a margin call sooner than later. Are you doubling your lot sizes after losing trades? If so, then that's a very dangerous way to go.Besides the above, you have a 81% of winners and a positive expectancy of 5 pips per trade, so you obviously have a working trading system, so great work.

There are several factors. Although spreads and execution are important, you also have the customer service factor and the broker's reputation. Just google for reviews of the broker in question, and if you find something you don't like, move along - there are so many broker to choose from so you will definitely find one which suits you.

Yeah, I had the same experience. As always, some systems work better with certain market criteria. Since you're trading support and resistance, it's very easy to think the price is going to turn when in a trend - you're always thinking it is going to happen in the next broken support/resistance but it never happens. Psychologically, it's hard to believe the trend is going to continue as you think to yourself that everyone already got it, there's no way it's gone go further.A good solution I found is to always look at larger time frames to get the bigger picture. Also, if...

Steve, during your tests, do you test all available servers of a broker and take the best performing one?

Steve, those tests are of demo account, right? I'm wondering if the performance ratio's are the same with live accounts? I'm assuming broker don't use the same infrastructure for demo servers as for real servers simply for the obvious fact it's a demo.

Those sites don't compare execution, which in some cases is much more important than spreads only.

I've tried it in the past, however I didn't find any special areas where price hangs or moves faster. I think the human mind is wired in such a way, that if you look for something, you will find it, even if it's not there. As an example, I can draw some random lines, and you'll get the same behaviour around those lines just like with the Fibonacci.Do share with us your findings though, as I'm always open for new ideas.

Problem is, the above is know only after the fact, and if you don't take all chances, you will miss out trades. I don't think there is a moment when risk is lowest - I think you're always in a risk when exposed to the markets.
