Your EA doesn't work on your nr. 1 suggested broker (Pepperstone). It simply skips trades. Are you aware of this?

Yes, I'm with their ECN account. Excellent service, 24h assistance on the chat, lowest spreads I've seen around (and low commissions on top), but it's true that their platform freezes from time to time; also, execution times could be faster considering it's supposedly an ECN. Not the "perfect" broker but still very very good, and I've tried about 15+ MT4 brokers over the years, both MM, STP and ECN.

I have bought it, absolute long-term account blower which is shown in BTs clearly. The floating DD is totally out of control... very dangerous EA even though it does not rely on martingale or grid. There's no way something like this will ever make it to my live account.

It's not that every broker is scamming us (or at least me), we're rather talking MDP here and the question is finding a broker which is suitable for this kind of beast specifically. But then again, it's MT4 technology in general which is probably inadeguate for HFT, but that's another topic...

Problem IS slippage once you move to an ECN (like I am), and MMkers are out of the question - I have yet to see a honest MT4 dealing desk broker that doesn't turn into a bucket shop in the long term once you start to be profitable.And oddly enough, now the people trading a gazillion full lots (...) realize that indeed trading nanolots and mammoth-sized lots is not the same. Why? Because the EA failed on one spike? Please. I also lost 5% of my account but one trade tells nothing, and besides October has been a fantastic month. Only time will tell if the EA will be profitable in the long run...

Nice pips indeed this week, MDP continues to deliver.I still fail to realize why the EA shows an inferior performance on the USDJPY (rarely takes trades), all JPY pairs in general are known to have huge spikes. A JPY pair will behave differently from the EUR (or USD) pairs which are in many ways more predictable, apart from the current debt crisis frenzy which brings volatility.So IMHO William should work on optimizing the USDJPY to begin with as it's there I see the most unexploited potential.Monthly subscribers should push on this, and if he comes up with something interesting in that di...

Why don'y you just try it for yourself with a micro account? MDP works, period. You have made a nice excel sheet clocking brokers execution time and VPS pings, put that into action... as simple as that. 😄

Steve you could look into my account but I do quite a bit of manual swing trading as well, and I have no problem admitting, that doesn't always turn out in winning trades.With that being said, MDP is capable of anything between 15%-50% monthly performance depending on risk appetite (mine, is very low. No more than 1% with ANY bot).I'm not so naive to think that this bot will always outperform the markets... I totally expect DD somewhere down the road and losing streaks.But as long as the EUR is volatile enogh you should expect some "action" at least, and as others have pointe...

Anyone using MDP on USD/JPY and willing to share settings? It seems like despite the huge spikes (bank of Japan goes crazy at times 😄) it tends to trade less here. I've tried to increase Channels and NumOrders but still pretty idle.

Yes, partially... Avg Loss %, Max Loss %, Close Slip, diagnostics etc. tell you more about general broker's performance than actual "cheating", but you can smell if something's wrong from there to start with. There are a couple VDP detectors out there designed for that specifically.

You can still use some software against virtual dealer plugin cheating, 4xtrader provides a nice one. Then, when you have collected enough evidence, file your case at the NFA, or tell your broker you'll do so to s... em off. Gain Capital a.k.a. Forex.com was filed back then...ThinkForex I never trusted them from the get go, smells like scam from miles, now I hear from fellow traders that Hot Forex (which I thought were more serious blokes) takes their servers down just before the EUR has its spikes. Seems like there are not many places left where you can run MDP, because most are too slow ...

Alpari has a true fifth decimal STP and it's not at all true they are pure MM, it's their Pro account, now I'd really like to know if the execution time is identical between in house MM and orders passed to the liquidity providers where the depth should be immensely greater (in theory). Only thing you have to take 3 lots as min. orders, and the account has to be way big for that (much bigger than the suggested $20000). Any solid evidence for that would be great - not "I trade microlots, then I trade 100 standards" - I highly suspect that most trade no more than 0.05, and ...

Didn't know that, great stuff. Do you happen to know if their ECN (Razor) works like that too (i.e. half liquidity providers / half MM)? Because in theory, true ECNs go straight to the liquidity period... and it's a little unusual that Pepperstone offers 0.01 lots on the ECN (Hot Forex does that, too) whereas the industry standard is more like 0.10 (think ATC, etc.).Anyway I'm trading way bigger than 0.10 and that might be the reason why the orders get filled faster... maybe...

Exactly and let's not forget that - at least with their ECN Razor - they are not taking the opposite side of the trades as market makers, so it would be their intertest that you succeed in the long run (commissions at $7.53 lot per round turn is also VERY competitive). It's true that a bunch of people are probably bombarding their servers with MDP orders but that's the reason (among others) why they moved to the Equinix NY4 Facility, and execution time has improved drastically since. You MUST have a low latency VPS though (up to 5-8ms, optimum <2ms).Pepperstone smokes, at least ...

I don't think the guys at Pepperstone are playing dirty tricks, at least on my ECN Razor account; also, chart data and market watch data match. My latency VPS ping test reports <2ms. Frankly, I'm quite happy with the EA's performance, nothing bad to report at all so far.
