NFP-trading on last Friday was rather good and I often experienced positive slippage on my entry-orders this time: Twice 1 full pips plus several orders of around 0.5 pips. But overall negative slippage is still an issue with this account.Fred

Mixed results here as well, but mostly gains after all. Reduced the risk on IBFX from 3 to 2, so only 1.1 % gain. + 4 % on 2nd account (risk=3), but 2 % loss on 4th (not published).MDP seem to be on track again?!CheersFred

@lobotomy8: I hope you can see in the future!@Misty: I also saw most of the trades happening and being positive for some time, mostly. But if you close them manually too early you might also have smaller gains. But today you were right. I was waiting for the positive trades to gain back the losses, but they did come too late today to save the day. 😞Again 1st account took the biggest losses. Let's see what the rest of the week will bring.Fred

@Sachinsyd: I have no secret formula, but I prefer to reduce NO to 4 and use group_orders=true. Check if you can use fifo=false with your broker, then you can set also auto_apply_ecn=false, additionally. Additional_Channels to 2 or 3. Rest at default.I am pretty sure, MDP will see it's next upswing pretty soon, as markets have been rather quiet (that means: consolidating) for quite a while and the next surprise-news to the markets could result in a nice spike (and hopefully a reversal).Fred

I tried numorders_level=1 for some weeks, but switched it back to 0, as it seems to make MDP enter too early and too often. Résumé for March:Ok, after the success in February probably there had to be a setback, but I didn't expect this blow, especially on March, 16th. Lots of orders, lots of slippage, lots of losses. 20 % loss for March is more than on my other accounts so I hope this was not a turning-point for the profitability of the system on this account to the negative. Overall - except for the 16th - markets have turned more quiet and there weren't the right spikes for MDP to succeed. We had this in the past before and had gains later nevertheless, so I will let MDP run without changes....

I just started testing the old version 1.16 in demo now. It already had a slightly positive trade last night, where v 1.2 had no trade. Maybe version 1.16 is better suited for the calmer market-condition now. But nothing from the developer, we have to figure this out ourselves (or give up MDP). 😞Fred

I had considerably less slippage than last Friday (also on another not published account, where I had 7 trades and was positive overall) and think the spike(s) must have been less volatile today. (I did not watch it, though).

I analyzed the losses in my IBFX-account of Friday: I have come to the conclusion that the high loss was a mixture of rather high slippage (but not more than on my 2nd account), rather high risk-settings and the fact, that the last three trades didn't go as far into positive territory as on (my) other accounts.- But some user pointed out to me, that they had high order-handling times on Friday. I had normal times (350 modification, 550 opening/executing), but who else had the problem, especially with IBFX? Please mention, your trade server (I am on IS02) and whether it is a standard or min...

You can call it a mean-reversal scalper. It uses Bollinger Bands-Indicator to determine when price has escaped "more than normal" from the medium line and goes even outside the upper or lower band (2 standard deviations). Just put the Bollinger Band-Indicator on the 1M-chart and compare to MDP trade-entries. But there seems to be additional factors such as a higher number of ticks, indicating a volatility-break-out, which will often reverse before going again in the direction of the breakout.Fred
