Martingale is only money management. If you have a system which doesn't experience more then 4 losses in a row, then Martingale would work excellent with such system. Most people consider martingale a "coin toss" form of trading, when the reality is trading support and resistance is the biggest coin toss of them all.

At what point did you stop thinking that the banks and hedge funds are trading against you? A stat that I think myfxbook SHOULD HAVE front and center is Avg Pip - Drawdown. A stat which you can find the avg of as long as the inputted % data is higher. So example you could have a avg Pip - drawdown of 5 pips, but with lots larger then 2.00 your avg is 38 pips. :) Instead of only focusing on Pip drawdown... You can expect ANYTHING, but some of your expectations could never become reality.... That is the same thing in forex. Until we start to take out all the junk from our system, only then will you be able to turn 100 to 1000 consistently.

I would say stick to your guns (in the case to letting your sl getting hit), yet look at what you have in front of you. A floating red position which can get even reder thus putting your free margin further into risk. Simple always comes before complex. Which means that if the forex market was to have opened trades to the public, for the first time today. Most of you would not of placed trades, as the Higher TF would not exist. 😑 So, tell me why you would RISK money trading higher tf, and trying to catch tops and bottoms, when you clearly don't have an understanding of the most simple form of trading, which is engulfing patters.

Please guys stop using the word RISK..... It is like saying LOOK..... I will respond AT WHAT? When you say RISK, are you speaking of the money you are exposing to the market... Or the amount you are willing to LOSE based on your bias to entering in the position. Risk is a very subjective word, and should be clearly defined. Why would it be MORE RISKY if you maintain the same money management no matter how much is in the account. Your mentality is why most of your accounts have a huge drawdown with such a high yield %. Money management should NEVER change, no matter how much you have in your account. If I have 100 usd or 250,000 I would expose x amount of margin to get the same % for risk as to reward. The formations which you wager on should not change either.

I couldn´t agree with anyone more. The reality is people preach MONEY MANAGEMENT, but the only reason why their money management is so strick is because their system lacks accuracy. If their system had it, then they would be able to be exposed more to the market instead of risking all those pips only to end up paying a ton of money in swap.

Then you have a look at the account, and you see the huge spike down. He lost all of his profit, although he was not claiming to have the holy grail, the reality is that bias trading caused him to take a big trade which he didn't respect the price action, and he got hammered. :(

Yes do you know why? Because masters like you bomb accounts, then I come in and save the day. I have never once uploaded an account, then changed the date. None the less when I take over the account, my trades are all the same, and I don,t hold positions for days on in hoping for it to turn my way. I the last 2 months have been avg 4% per trading day, in which only day did I have a red day. You guys are here talking about other traders and what they can and can{t do, but you yourself can{t even have consistant profits on a daily basic.
