hi mike,no, i didn't do anything special. please look at my backtest report, at the top you find the settings i used for audnzd. with these settings i have a demo running and also i trade this live (both gomarkets), everything fine.by the way:today 4 weeks are past since starting my live account with 6k €. beside FH i trade some other EA and from time to time manually. today's balance: 8.387€, FH made 613€. this is around 55% of what rick's demo on cable made in the first month, but for me ok. i don't know exactly the highest floating dd in audnzd, because of oth...

i also wasn't sure about BT results before. but i tested FH on cable with rick's settings from the starting date of his alpari demo until the day when he increased the lotsize (because i cannot change the lotsize during the running backtest) and the result was almost the same as in his demo / forward test. this tells me that the backtest cannot be so wrong.and for discovering the maximum drawdowns over the last years and adjust settings, backtests are good enough.i also did this with different other EA's, which i have running on demo accounts. just started the backtests with the sa...

Hi Rick,thank you for answer. I'm employeed in IT business, programming a little bit in some languages and also mql and so on, so i'am familiar with these things. Sorry i didn't tell before, you couldn't know it.What i want to say is, that i tried all this before.. to eliminate everything, what could cause this issue. Hello Rick,i also use the MT4i Personal Copier for some other projects, test, etc. But my problem with this copier is, that it fills the RAM of the machine in a very short time. After a few hours every of my 4 running receiver-instances has about >800 MB RAM in use, so i have to restart these instances 2-3 times a day to free the memory. If i don't do this, then some time i get error messages in the expert tab like this: "Memory handler: cannot allocate 40961 bytes of memory" and the receiver isn't working anymore. yes yes, ok. i just wanted to make a suggestion / ask a question. ;)of course i know about all these things like slippage, requotes, spread, etc. and yes, i made the backtests with a fixed spread of 4 pips. my average spread in audnzd during european daytime is around 4 pips, too. and of course are backtests only useful as a general guideline. and exactly this is what i use them for: to find good settings, good pairs, etc.and if i see in the backtest with cable a floating drawdown over 2-3 months (a period before yur demo started) with a peak of -40k € with only 0.02 lot startsize (!), th...

i trade it live, but only since 2 weeks now. so its not a prove.i did some backtests with your settings on cable for the same period, you are running your demo and had almost exactly the same results as you in your demo. this shows me, that the backtests cannot be so wrong... these are 99%-backtests with tickdata, i forgot to say...

Hi Rick,is this only an assumption or based on tests?Attached you find 2 images from 3-year-backtests, one with GU and one with AUDNZD. starting balance was 6k€, lotsize 0.02 through the whole test. Of course, AUDNZD has less profit, but you see the differences in dd?
