Signal Providers
Apr 27, 2011 at 08:44
I think they're incorrect. They should've count both closed position DD plus open position floating loss, the way myfxbook & zipsignals done it.I wonder if their staff / programmers have knowledge in trading field. As one of their SP, only answers that seems 'knowledgeable' from their staff is Mariosv's answers. For company with revenue that big (my revenue times 100 more -above 100 followers- profitable SPs which I suspect have much more revenue than myself), I find it hard to believe that they can't hire a proper cust. support / development staff. And the message s...

Nice! but that could resulting heavy server loads. I mean, rather than passively accepting client history data like before, you have to check them with live quotes from some feed, on hundreds/thousands of accounts here. I think daily recording of high and low of equity curve (or make some equity curve band) is sufficient for a start.

Signal Providers

I'm testing tradency as signal provider using their mt4 trade bridge. Having severe case of slippage between my account and trade history on trade manager. From 34 trades, total slippage is 112 pips. Open price is slipped, Close price is slipped also. There's one case of their default stop slip too.I know this is less likely my side error, since the same trades that went through zipsignal and zulu doesn't get slipped this much in their history statement.Hopefully they fix this soon, or better if their bridge EA can read stop and limit order.
So the contest has just began...

I have the same problem too, performance is calculated based on initial deposit + competition rebalance.Actually there's an easy way to see which competition accounts affected by this error. On the competitor list page, look for performance line graph that doesn't start from lower left corner of performance box.

Experienced Traders

What you say is true about excessive risk taken by relatively new traders. But you can't generalized new skool and old skool like that. There's also pro trader with fat account that trend trades with small tp and large sl in term of pips, but obviously they control their risks too.I know you are one of the successful trader, You are one of my 'reading list'. I read all your work back then from sbfx, ff, and fx-tsd (trend retracement, then develop zorro, and now dna right?). Doubled 6 digit euro account around 2005 - 2007 right? and prolly hold 7 digit account right now.I think ...

Yup, I'm trying to focus on minimizing drawdown & avoiding over exposure on the whole account for now. Around half percent risk on single trade, and maximum 2 risked trade open at a time. (based on net usd long/usd short & breakeven point on those trade)If it a success, I'd start to explore the possibilities of position trading using this entries. Thanks for stopping by teach. (you are my teacher now hehe)
