Well, they have officially made their decision. US residents are out of luck. Thank you CFTC for ruining every good thing in trading for US citizens. We will destroy your stupid regulations in time.

Then it must be a conflict of something installed in the mt4 instance. I am going to go and try removing everything from those mt4 instances except Thor. They aren't running anything except Thor, so it shouldn't be an issue, but I will attempt it anyway.

Nope, wouldn't have been speed. On one acc i am getting about 350ms. On the other i am getting about 250ms. I am pretty sure it was because of the spread being too wide on my acc.

Interesting......I have my position opening at 1.29497, but was closed for a loss @ 1.29545. Maybe you have a smaller spread than what i do. i generally see 2.1-2.3 pips. It shows that the position was stopped out. Well, for me, Thor took several steps back today, but..MDP covered for it, plus made some extra scratch. Maybe they will cover for each other's losses. 😉

If you don't mind my asking, what was the entry and exit price for the order that Thor placed on your account today?

MDP will not win all the time. If you have had profitable settings, then let it ride.

I have to agree with the problem about the memory leak. When i first open all my mt4 instances, I am usually hovering right about 580mb usage. Previous to using Thor, it stayed that way all the time. Now that i am running Thor on 2 different mt4 instances, if I do not restart it at least once per day, It will lock up my VPS. I got lucky today and was able to get CNS to restart my VPS before I missed today's trades. Wouldn't have been a bad thing to miss the Thor trades, but MDP had a good day today. Thor lost on all accounts. MDP won on all accounts. Anyway....back to the memory leak. ...

I am going to phrase this very carefully..... This is the "safest" martingale system I have seen to date. Since i have not seen anyone attempt to publish a full risk disclosure, people are not fully aware of the potential DD. The chance of an event of maximal DD ever occurring are incredibly small. My opinion is to use minimal risk and have a huge margin for padding. My opinion would be $1000 start for a penny account, $10,000 for a micro account, $100,000 for a mini account, or $1mil for a standard account. These accounts are based purely on the smallest lot size you have access to....

Well....I am surprised that no one other than myself has thought of this, but you can get a fairly accurate picture of the real MDP performance with a dukas data backtest. It requires knowing your slippage specs before rendering the data though, which you can get from any form talking about MDP. People are always willing to complain about how bad their slippage is. Ask about how bad the slippage is for whatever broker, when you get a good average slippage for said broker, then add that to the avg spread of the broker. For instance....on FinFX ECN my avg spread was 0.7 pips, and my avg slippag...

That is all nice and wonderfull, but there are obviously different settings coded in the dll. I am interested as to what they are and how they perform. If they can be tested, then they can be hard-coded for use live. Maybe one of the older settings would be more profitable nowdays. That is the reason for a BT......to see HOW it responds....not test the validity.

If someone has the time, it would be awesome if they would edit out the changes to settings, and run a BT for the whole time period and post it on myfxbook. I would, but MDP keeps erroring out when i try it.

Uhmmmmm......okay. The ONLY reason i know of anyone wanting to get rid of MDP is due to it not being profitable. So, since you have found a broker that it succeeds on, why would you get rid of it?

No new trades. I don't know if Thor would have traded on Wednesday because it had locked up my VPS and kept ALL of my EAs from trading. The issue is a memory leak that Thor has. That is all I know at the time.

Then that still supports my original statement. If you try to trade large lot sizes, it kills MDP. Heck if you had a busy trading day with MDP and it took 20 trades in a day (have had that happen before), and you were only trading 15 lots per trade, that would be a total of 300 full lots in a day. 15 lots is not considered a large position size.Anyway, Happy Holidays to everyone!!😁

Hmmmm....98 full lots....and a $9k win is the biggest win.....$980/pip.......so that means your biggest MDP win ever is approx +10pips. That is not very good. If that was the avg win, then you would be doing good with MDP. So....out of curiosity, has MDP been profitable overall, just breaking even, or losing? I gotta ask because everyone with very large accounts has not generally had good results.

That is a good point. I had not taken that into account.
