Remember, I do this a bit differently. You are using EP and I am not.My PC = 100%, my MAX DD = 100%:)It takes an account of at least 10K to do this on nano to be safe. For example, EURJPY went to 17% drawdown and 14 levels in the last year. That is 1700.00! That would wipe your account clean. :) If you don't have 10K, and money to back it up, then I would not use this strategy unless they create 1/10th of a nano! :)You may want to try the small baskets instead? If you want a safe pair that makes money, then try USDJPY and just bump your lots too...Gil

I was doing it with Forex.com UK and I had way more losses than wins. :) Too risky for such a small return IMO.

5 on the scary pairs on BE!:)I backtested and found 5-6 good.....If I have two pairs say NZDJPY and NZDUSD (similar) doing about the same thing and I take profit on one manually, close out the other 'just in case'. I had two or so correlating pairs in the past cause me problems so....Those two specifically have been so close together...On the PM, I backtested using it and it really dropped the profit and barely improved the dd%... Maybe that was just me...?

I tried opening an account with this firm. They just took my info and I never heard back. In addition, they seem to be linked to 'deltafins' and their addresses are all the same as well as someone pointed out on their thread. I believe they are out of Kazakhstan or something? They say London, they are not regulated I believe. Please use caution as I don't believe they are legit... =====================================================================================Новостная рассылкасайта FXMtrade.ruDear Ladies and Gentlemen,Unfortunately I have to start with bad news: 90% of tr...
why traders hide their records history?

Honestly, in my opinion the reason people hide it is for 4 reasons:A) They don't want their broker knowing who they are or causing problems with their technique as it requires good execution.B) They are not honest people and trying to get one over for you.C) They are honest, but they lack the courage to trade their own cash at a stage to make their own $$ for supporting themselves or are climbing their way back up after losing much....D) They don't care, don't want to share and would rather tell you to f-off then share anything to help you in any way... :) Not the helping or shar...

JFOREX has a converter, but it never worked 100% with my Ea's when I tested it.There have only been a few times when the runs get really bad for multiple pairs. On one of my EA's, EURJPY never retraced enough until 2700 pips! That was by far the longest run.I believe that a good test is run from Nov 2009 through June 2010 and that is pretty good, but 07' and 08' had some nice runs as well on multiple pairs....Gil

6% is great. Unless your drawdowns dip to like 50% or more of your account. Like I said above, it seems too risky to me. And, if you ever plan on leveraging this with investors, I would never allow something that deep just to get 6%....To get 6%, DD acceptable would be 3 times that = 18% OR LESS consistently. The tough part is I believe you have to program your mind to get through the May 5th/6th's 2010 with a grid trader. Even though you will only lose such and such % on one currency, when they ALL trend very hard in the 'wrong' direction, you will be sucking wind, regardless...

As a swing trader, that makes sense to me.However, I would never go over 20% drawdown if I could avoid it and would focus on around 10% as my sweet spot. That is just me.Because, when the 'it' hits the fan, you are going to want that cushion right?Grid traders are fine, but I think it is like construction. First, get the bid, then double it, then double it again and that is what it will cost. haha... :)

I don't know, I am no expert. I can't even get my backtesting working right now. See forex-tsd.comHonestly, if you do it the traditional way, you just have to make enough money to survive the EP's... It should be profitable as an EP shouldn't be that often. however, that is why I like more pairs than less pairs....Grid Traders are just plain dangerous and either a) you have a lot of backup money to fix it, which means you are making a much smaller return or b) you are lucky. In my opinion only one pair works on this thing flawlessly and that is USDJPY. However, your returns...

I have extended grid settings some. for example GBPJPY = 35,70,140 instead of 25,50,100GBPNZD = 50,100,200 etc...TP's are just double and I have BE = 5 on the pairs that tend to move more.Plus, I have them all digging into a pile of 10K together... And, I close out trades depending on pivots and how I feel... For example (probably not right), but it looks like AUDUSD was peaking and going to retrace. So.... I go through all AUD pairs and close them out if in profit. If they are higher level - pairs, then I leave it waiting for the retrace. You can usually kind of tell where it will re...
