Try to strike balance between paid job and trading. Hard to go full-time when you don't have experience. You always have to have a backup plan.

Better to move somewhere else to try arb, maybe Exness, Tickmill or HFM will produce better results but start with micro amounts to test slippage.

When volatility increases performance of most trend-following or countertrend EA's starts to deteriorate because number of false entries sky-rocket. I tend to halt trading on my HFM platform during such times.

Yeah start on demo or live account, connect it to myfxbook and trade for 6 months-1 year this should serve perfectly as a proof that you can delivery good long-term performance. You know the biggest issue is not demonstrating large gains in individual trades but rather than over time you can stay afloat and even remain profitable. This should be a solid proof that your strategy does have an edge and your gains wasn't a random streak of wins.

Yes, it's crucial to differentiate between stock market cycles and forex market volatility cycles. In the stock market, macro cycles like accumulation, distribution, and others reflect broader economic and market trends over extended periods, driven by fundamental factors. In contrast, forex market volatility cycles are influenced by factors such as geopolitical events, economic releases, and interest rate changes, leading to short-term fluctuations. Understanding both cycles helps traders adapt their strategies to align with the distinct dynamics of each market.

Hotforex as far as I know doesn't work with paxum but it processes payments via Neteller and Skrill which are also convenient

better to test strategy on different equal periods to see if it robust or not. This is standard approach in analysis.
How do I trade gold?

When trading gold, I start with a thorough analysis of both technical and fundamental factors. I use technical indicators like moving averages, RSI, and Fibonacci retracement levels to identify trends and potential entry and exit points. Fundamental analysis includes monitoring economic data through HFM calendar of similar tools, geopolitical events, and central bank policies, as these factors significantly influence gold prices. I also consider the US dollar's strength, as gold often has an inverse relationship with it.
How accurate is the sentiment indicator?
in
General
Jul 24 at 18:13
Sentiment indicators provide insights into the overall mood or positioning of market participants, which can be useful for gauging potential market direction. However, their accuracy is limited as they reflect collective sentiment rather than predict precise price movements. While sentiment indicators can highlight extreme bullish or bearish positions, they should be used in conjunction with other forms of analysis to make well-rounded trading decisions.

Yes support and resistance levels, plain ones, on large timeframes work extremely well. The biggest issue is being patient and wait. Sometimes it takes month for me to enter into a great trade with decent risk/reward

Overcoming the fear of the first trade involves preparation and mindset. Start by thoroughly understanding your trading strategy and practicing with a demo account to build confidence. When you feel ready, begin with a small position size to minimize risk and focus on the process rather than the outcome, viewing it as a learning experience.

Where do most successful traders get huge capital to invest in forex?
in
General
Jun 24 at 18:29
Well, normal return in retail fx is 2-3% monthly, with losing periods you may increase your capital maybe by 30-40% yearly. So most probably if you run across an offer which offers above that return then most probably it is high risk project which should be on the brink of scam. Somebody should lose a lot so you can earn a lot in a very short period of time, simple math

When analyzing a morning star candlestick pattern, I complement it with both technical and fundamental analysis. Technically, I look for confirmation with indicators such as moving averages, RSI, and MACD to assess momentum and trend strength. Fundamentally, I consider economic indicators, central bank policies, and geopolitical events that could impact the underlying asset's price. This combination helps validate the pattern and enhances the accuracy of my trading decisions.

Reduce position size to the level where you don't afraid to lose, can afford to risk the stake, etc. Then gradually start to increase it, reflecting over your own emotional responses.
