Broker comissions/spread, how much I've paid?
in
Suggestion Box

Sorry, dont mean to be difficult here. I get your question, and it is a very relevant one, my point is only that it is very hard to calculate if I have understood you correctly. If you have an ECN or other type of raw spread broker, you will only pay commission and this could be summed up as you describe, and one could figure out how much these cost are compared to your results or equity of course. I agree that this would be a good feature, however it is quite impossible to get any sensible information out of this. You can of course compare brokers that only take commission and compare these, but how about comparing the other two main type of brokers, the fixed spread and the ones that take comission in the form of wider spreads. How are you suppose to compare these as the spreads constantly change? What do you compare these against? There are no reference out there, so the "real" cost of these brokers are nearly impossible to figure out. The "real" question should pr...

The way the percentage is calculated on this site greatly differs from how portfolio managers calculate gains. On this site, percentage is calculated based on your initial investment (adjusted for deposits and withdrawals). If you have gained or losed a lot since your initial deposit, these percentages does not make sense. An example. If you deposited $100, and by luck or good trading😎 you are up to an equity of $1000. If this is you start capital one month, and you loose (or gain) $100 that month, your statement will tell you that you have lost/won 100%.... while actually you have onl...

Thank you, the account is composed of several EAs running on different crosses and on different timeframes. All EAs are publically available. The account is only one of sevaral accounts. I have tried to match each EA to the best performing broker for each EA. Broker matching has great importance, and is an element that seems to be greatly neglected for some reason. The perfomance will not be comparable when using your JadeFX account. You can view my other accounts at: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/TTinvestAs you can see of my portfolios I have two JadeFX accounts, and think that this is one ...
