Finally, the 10 years test on EURCHF is finished, here is the last screendump (woah, 2.5 million$ drawdown at stop, that's what I call a bad trading day, although the lowest Equity% is 69.23)Any comments on a 30% drawdown with gridtrading, considering the recent Euro downslide against the Swiss? I appreciate comments, I've just taken another screendump of the current testrun, remember, the Risk is set to 1, which means the EA calculates gridseparation and lotsizes that covers double the historical range (when starting from zero open orders, hte more orders the bigger the separation and/or the smaller the lots). If I understand you both correctly, I'm unlikely to get trades in the upper and lower quadrant of the historical range, because those ranges may never be seen again? Hmm, then I guess its a good thing, that I have the "GridArea" setting to control how many % from center the trading begins, along with "FixedTop", "FixedBottom" and "FixedCenter". Within the program, I have the possibility to control from when (1980, 1990, 2000?) the gridrange is being calculated, but it certainly is something i could change to an external input if that, in your opinion...

This is a gridtrading system, drawdown is expected. The old orders from before the 21st of June - 33 orders - are with small lots, thus creating low drawdown. Furthermore, its only 2 of the currencypairs (AUDCAD and NZDUSD) that has trades within 50% of the centerline which would be expected to prolong for a long timeperiod.I expect zero net profit for the first month or two, because the system builds up a pool of orders on the currencypairs that are moving away from the centerline, but once they eventually return towards center they will close in profit (some not because of negative swap, som...

I would love to see your comments on the system, all trades are disclosed, and you can analyze the system per magicnumber - 2 numbers per currencypair. For some reason, Instaforex has changed the minimum lotsize to 0.1 instead of 0.01 - effective of 22-06-2010 (sometime before noon)

Programming changed in the weekend - now the EA only trades in the upper and lower quadrant of the historical range.The risk has been raised to open larger trader trades and/or trade a tighter grid.

By the way, I changed the program in the weekend to only trade the upper and lower quadrant of the historical range.And cashbackforex gives 1.3 pips cahback with Instaforex.And the second deposit in the account is the 30% welcome-bonus currently available, so I'm on the positive side as long as it stays above 2300,-Cheers

Hi Phoenix.Are you still using FxOpen? I read somewher4e, that they lost their license to provide fincial services less than a month ago...If you run into trouble with them, I can suggest Instaforex - open a standard cent-account, and you can trade 0.00001 market lots with a leverage 1:1000. Hi Fortenova.I've just started up with my own gridtrading EA. As a test for profitability i'm trading 29 currencypairs on the same account. I mainly made the system cause GT-Shadow and Robominer are too limited in my opinion.My system dynamically adjusts the gridsizes based on the historical range, free margin, maximum orders allowed, risksetting and spread/mimimum stoplevels (stoplevels can be manually adjusted, so if one wants larger gridseparation just put in the number of pips...)I've got 2 demo's running on mt4stats - usernames "grids" and "gridsforpips"...
