Hi Prime,

A question about your grid trading on the Aud/Nzd Does this strategy utilize a stop loss? I see there is no stop loss indicated, but i see some trades are exited for various amounts? Not having a stop loss for this trading can be a little worrisome if we get caught in a trend reversal that runs 1000 pips to a new level.

Also, is this account strictly automated or are there some mixed manual trades in here as well?

Thanks

Hi,

All trades have SLs only that I'm handling some trades manually and currently I'm using hedging waiting for a retrace, today there is a High Impact News for AUD which could help or not, I'll be watching that closely.

The idea is not to do this, it has to be 100% automatic, yesterday I wanted to 'fix' bad trades made by the EA on the AUDNZD and things got worst, but there is no high risk involved here either, I hope to solve the problem soon and well.

I agree that automated is the only way to go. As traders we sometimes try to salvage bad trades and end up making them much worse, also I know there can come a time where we get down too far and then refuse to take a loss risking much more than we ever intended. I had to separate my manual trades from my EA (in a separate account) because in the past manual trades destroyed the work my EA had done. You have a good EA but this issue of the stop loss for this grid trading may be a challenge to work out. AUDNZD looks like it could be trending to a new level, but who knows?

GL to all of us. Please try to have a line in the sand drawn and cut loses if it goes beyond. I know it sucks to have the nice charts messed up, but your EA can produce a good chart over time. I think any EA that make aggressive profit like yours will have a 20-30% DD eventually. This, IMO is acceptable if you want aggressive return. This is the line though for me, any more DD and the risk is too high

Best of Luck
Wayne

Looks like this guy has not updated since yesterday. Looking at the short AUD/NZD he had at the last update, he has probably crashed and burned like most big talkers do sooner or later.

Hey Primeval. lighten up. You guys all spam all over each others pages. You are one of the few that is showing verified real money results. Most people will figure out who is real and who is BS. That gritty attitude probably scares off some potential customers. Afraid if they ask a dumb question they will get their head bitten off.

haha, that won't happen, I don't have problems with 'dumb questions', if people need support I am very helpful, specially with members.
I only war with people posting BS about my system and/or me without posting constructive comments and without good reasons indeed, maybe they're still fan of the rubbish fap turbo 😈, I call it FAT Turdo nowadays 😇

Primevalea. I'm jealous. Your system is on auto pilot while I'm a slave to the screen scalping to achieve similar results as you. Hats off to you. I noticed that you have 2.2 on several brokers. What broker is giving you the best results after commission (some ECN). And, is this the correct broker for this system discussion. https://finfxtrading.com/- min $2500 for ECN start up. Is this PAMM not the ECN spreads?

Unprofitable Manual Trades, the EA is not the problem here, my EA is great and less dangerous than the average trader including me.

Aw ok. The collective FX account had manual Trades that pulled the Equity Down just like this account. 😎 I'd leave the trading your Bots. =)

Agree, that will happen from now on, besides I've many accounts and can't monitor all of them at the same time everyday, too much stress and there is no need for that 😎.

Today the EA lost with the AUDNZD, other pairs made profits, but the AUDNZD is one of my best pairs and has to produce losses sometimes, you can't win everyday 😄.

What I did to CollectiveFX is a pity, anyway I started with $2,000 and it's still up more than $5,000 and I'll recover the profits completely by next year, the challenge now is to convert a $5,000 account to $80,000 or more during 2011.
Soon I'll publish the new account using the remaining balance after the big DD.

The old link is now this:
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/primevalea/primeval-ea-mam-account-fxsalt/69375

That's because the other account wasn't a MAM Account, it was a regular Live Account, now FXSalt created a new MAM Account for me and transferred all the balance to that account.

You should be able to watch my results here soon:
https://www.fxsalt.com/results.php

Unfortunately the statements of the first Live Account with FXSalt which looked so good (56% on low risk in a few weeks) was lost because of this change and today We had a small loss (because of the AUDNZD), anyway soon my 'EA Beast' will do it's great job again next weeks/months 😄.

Too bad we never really got to see the Primeval EA on its own. The negative trades Primeval is in are undoubtedly the result of its owner doing manual trades along with his EA trades.

I really wish Primeval would release the latest version of his EA to his clients who had paid for the EA so maybe at least someone could represent an account that shows what the EA can do on its own without any manual intervention. Primeval may be a great EA. We just have no way of knowing apart from independent confirmation.

It's no fun holding negative positions for extended periods of time. Manual trading is a bitch.

GL Primeval
Hope the market gives you back some of the losses
