Hey Dragon,

How come you use a custom start date?

I like you use a lot of price action, but haven't used much with FOREX as much as futures. Thanks for sharing your stuff. :)

Hi Gil,

I used a custom date for two reasons:

1. I injected news funds into my account at beginning of July...my account is much bigger now as it now contains all my trading resources, so wanted to start tracking again from the start of the new balance.

2. Psychological - I had a cr*p June and I didn't want to be reminded of it every-time I looked at my stats - it's all to do with having a fresh mindset and for me that helps forget a lean period and move on.

I suppose I could have just opened a new Oanda sub-account...oh well.

Yes price action is a good safe method of trading, I use various technical methods but most crucial to all of my trading is major support and resistance areas and then looking for confluence at these areas and other factors that might give us a heads up to where price might be heading next. Price action shows us where the big players have decided to move price, I like to get in before PA develops if at all possible.

Yes, I find PA easier on futures, but just because I think I have spent more time. Rarely trading futures am I ever surprised when looking at a 50K tick or daily chart. However, on Forex, I am surprised often. :) I guess more chart time required.

Thanks for the info. June was pretty good for me, July was a little slow for me. Thanks again for the info.

I wish Oanda used MT4! :) That would solve so many of my needs... :)
