Me Trading and learning the markets after 12 months of EA coding and testing and ultimately failure. I am back to basics and learning what I should have first. How to do it manually.

Yeah, you cannot create a successful EA w/o a successful manual trading system behind it. It's like going directly from A to Z.
Wish you luck!

Month 1 of profitable trading. - ' Finally I followed my trading plan.'

Month 2 of profitable trading - ' System seems stable. I think I got it.'

Month 3 of profitable trading - ' OK, this is getting easier. I'm on a roll.'

Month 4 of profitable trading - ' Trading plan is set in stone, but maybe I can decrease risk and improve the profitability of this system.'

Month 5 of profitable trading - ' Almost half of a year of making consistent returns, I may have found a stable system for years to come.'

Month 6 of profitable trading - ' WOW, 6 months of success. This feels great. I can actually be considered a profitable trader. My confidence is at its highest it has ever been and I feel unstoppable. However, this is just the beginning. Now I have to continue to battle the market and be adaptive to the ever changing market. I may continue to have some small ups and downs, but I know the hardest steps are out of the way. '

Is that month 3 down?

mr euphoria,

why hide your balance? this is received by many as a deceptive practice.

if it is only a couple of hundred bucks, just say so.

not exactly true.

some automated code, such as mine, make thousands of calculations, which means that it is impossible to trade it by hand.

If it makes you feel better than it is only a couple of hundred dollars. I am not here to sell a thing and it is a tool to use to analyse my own trading, not to generate dodged up results so i can onsell a system. So if it helps with your own inadequacies, then yes it is only a couple of hundred dollars

Its been a hard slog, but I have finally recovered from July's bad trading and have cracked the 40% gain mark. The reason the system does not show the 40% is I deposited some extra funds in the account that I got through an IB cash back program - I still class this is as profit. what are your thoughts? Should trailing commissions based on a cash back program be counted as profits towards your trading?
