Nah. Its just funny.
Any trader with little knowing of prices and EAs, can do the same thing. Just noone bothering because its pretty much waste of time.

Hey birt,

When i first got on this system's page I thought to myself, 'WTF?!' but then I read the system description and it seems there is some sort of exploit? Unfortunately your description is cut short right when it starts to get interesting; Could you please explain what that exploit is to us? 😎

Thanks man.

theM1g, the short description was an issue on our side - it's now fixed.

Thanks for fixing it.

Birt, you don't go into detail in your system description how the GCG scam works? Would you mind shedding some light on this?

Hi Birt!

Just have had a look at your mockery. Actually it has very little in common with Dragon EA. First of all, you say that your system won't work in a live trading, but Dragon EA works and proofs are coming right after the holidays. But you're obviously a genius coder since you were able to write down this code in a short time! I wonder if you applied your talents in a right way, probably your other systems weren't in the backyard by now 😀

Anyhow, your mockery looks more like a jealous grimace.

Just to explain it, this system is using broker arbitrage (look it up if you don't know what that is) from multiple 'master' price feeds. Because the GCG feed is slow (typically several seconds behind), it's possible to open trades before the price changes, knowing the direction of the change.

As for my other systems, none of them is actually programmed by me, they're only forward tests related to my EA review site, https://eareview.net/

To those who mailed me asking for the system: I'm sorry, but I do not intend to share it.

Thanks for that explanation birt. I knew there had to be some kind of illegal thing going on there... Still, there's yet another question I'd like to ask you. Just how did you manage to pull multiple price feeds from a single EA (running on a single account?) and then have it trade? Maybe DDE from multiple MetaTrader instances or something?

Again, congrats on your mockery. ;)

It's rather complicated and I wouldn't want to get into the details, giving free tips; suffice to say that for me it was a fun programming exercise, using some techniques I haven't used before and the whole thing probably took a bit over 8 hours. In any case I didn't use DDE, although that might work as well.

shouldn't be hard for a programmer with basic knowledge with dll's (no, that's not me 😉).

you just need to create an ea that sends prices to the master ea which is on your main trading account. run the ea's on all the platforms you want to get the feed from, and on your main platform you just work with additional variables which are the different feeds.

Hehe, right then. I see where you both are coming from now. Thanks for your replies. My brain ain't tickling no more lol.

BTW birt, I do *not* intend to use this or similar techniques in my trading. In fact, I don't use EA at all; I'm all for manual trading. ;)

Thanks again all.

biz0101 is correct when it comes to the general idea.

theM1G: I didn't refer to you personally, but if I even hint to what I used, I will probably see the technique implemented and sold by some scammer with a flashy website in a couple of weeks.

On the fun side, I see that after I added this system, myfxbook immediately changed the defaults on the systems page to listing only systems running on a real account and I applaud the decision :) It should probably only list trade-verified systems by default, too.

birt, only verified systems are listed in the systems page.

Thanks for the suggestion 😄.

If it were a real account, the broker would have gone bankrupt 😲

OSIS, how would the broker have gone bankrupt? Wouldn't they have made a lot of money through spread?

Because the broker is Market Maker type. They didn't route your trade to real market, that's why you will not get re-quote.

They wouldn't bankrupt, they just don't pay you and forfeit your deposit too as trying to scam them using market price delay tactic on them.
