BTW, maybe 4xGreed was a sophisticated ploy to drive potential customers to Dominic -- additional publicity + he claims that he offers the genuine "expert". Hell of a cheek. The most vexing is that with the other EA of which a lot are scams too, you can at least get the money thru ClickBank or Plimus...

ruht03,There was something fishy in it the first I checked the "superrobot". The funny thing is that 4xGreed seems to be a "pirated" version of the "EA". The fact that SuperFxRobot was a scam was the reason why Dominic did not take any legal action against the other guys. I am glad that I have lost only 65 USD buying a 30 days trial on 4xGreed...

Hi there,I am also running PFR. I am bit surprised by the position sizes that are shown with myfxbook here. It seems that they actually are 0.01 lot not 0.1 as shown in the statements. Probably myfxbook has problems with nanolots...Anyway, your results seem pretty consistent with what I get and I think they are pretty encouraging. When I go live, I will trade EUR/USD and USD/JPY first and then I will add the other two pairs.

For the man in the FX street the problem is how to separate the wheat from the chaff... (genuine EAs, genuine forex signals, genuine results...).But foremostly, the problem lies in ourselves, even if we are given really good trading method -- it need to be "tailor made" for us. In FX market only one thing is sure that nothing is sure: we keep forgetting it on the quest for the Holy Grail. It is convenient to have some "scape goat" to blame whenever something goes wrong...

I agree that Pipstrider with its martingale strategy may sound a risky. I have tested a several of martingale EAs and this one seems to be less prone to fast account demise. I have tested it with AUD/CAD and JPY/CHF pairs and it fared quite well. Right now I am riding it on a dedicated account. I did not verify the results, because I just use it for myself to monitor the EA.http://www.myfxbook.com/members/pipdetector/ps-fxdd/37870Having stated all above, I admit that as one needs to make their own decision of martingale EAs are worth use at all.

What you just described is quite common with FXCM. I just cannot see why FXCM is charging 2.5-7 pips for EURUSD, but ATC that uses them as liquidity provider charges 0.7 pip + 0.8 pip commission... And they do not have this "notorious" BT bridge that keeps stalling...

The comparison on fxintel is a bit untrue.ECN usually charge spread and comissionFXDD and FXCM do not charge comissionSo when ATC shows 0,7 pip you need also add 0,8 pip (comission) = 1,5. It is still better than FXDD and FXCM, but real numbers should be compared...

ATC is not the only one -- I use FXDD and FXCM and they both found a way to go around NFA restrictions some time ago, though finally they both created branches for non US clients (FXCM uses a UK branch and FXDD - a Malta branch).

I am also demoing IamFX and I am not impressed. For example I have been trying to close a couple of positions today for a hours and I am getting "trading context busy" message all the time. Come on this is a demo account! So just cannot imagine how it works with real accounts.

Hi Juan,As far as I can see the results here are for currently marketed "Forex Legend". Check this out:http://www.forexlegend.com/If they copied if from your EA then they really are impudent to show the results here...

There will be problem in the when the oil price skyrockets before petrol goes dirt cheap - I guess I will just use the donkeys to pull the tank for a while, but later... sounds really good.I wonder if it just us who are blowing it out of proportion or all others are plain blind...

I am not sure if any paper currencies with go thru it unharmed... EUR does not seem the best choice as basically it may go the same route as USD (when the cautious optimism evaportes).Gold + silver -- seems a good choicePlant veggies - yes.Buy gun - (problem here in Poland) - but I started practising with air gun...:-)
Anyone want to try this EA?

I would not be surprised. MM is the key in such cases. Once I tested my home made EA that was supposed to buy GBPUSD each morning on 9 am GMT, as far as I remember the SL was 100 pips and TP was 200 pips (or some similar 2R ratio). Tested over five years or more it provided positive results... :-) Unfortunately, I lost it during a HDD crash so I cannot provide exact details. I tested it with Forex Tester 2.

This works quite well with demo accounts only. As soon as you start using real accounts the results are hardly impressive. As far as I see this is another way to get your money for demo optimised "solutions".

As a matter of fact martingale is just a part of the system. A "standard" martingale would double the position each time a trade was lost until a turnaround occured or a total disaster. Here the doublng is capped at 4 plus you can control the rate at which the positions are magnified. So I agree with compuforexpamm that Buitendyk's comment is missing a point a bit. Plus don't forget that Wackena is testing this system with his real money...

According to the original Hedge Hog Trade Rules.pdf. <quote>This system is based on the inverse correlation of the EURUSD and USDCHF.Typically if you hedge, you will buy a currency after you have sold it, or viceversa. Since these two currency pairs are the two most inversely correlatedpairs, to hedge you would buy or sell ***both*** the EURUSD and the EURCHF.The entry for a trade is based on the divergence (or move away from) theEURCHF from the close of the previous day. To determine what to use forthe daily close, you should use GMT as the time. When the EURCHF movesaway from (or diver...

Basing on backtests anything higher than 2% when MM <> 0 seems too risky in the long run. It was lucky that this test here did not start from such losses as today's, as you would have to start from 0. My first impressions when I started to follow this EA was that the pairs that you ride are chosen so as to provide hedge, because they are negatively correlated. But as duzyfx noted this was not the case.
