Personally I have never heard about these brokers but I would say that every broker in the market is good if it's genuine. Some brokers can have slow withdrawal times but higher leverages. So we cannot say that a particular broker is not good. Maybe the requirements for everyone are different. I think testing out each broker would be a better method. When I was on the path of choosing the broker then I also traded with lots of brokers via demo and micro. I landed on Fxview and CMC markets which are good for me; so I think you can use the same approach for these brokers as well.

Well, there are some very good platforms out there that you can explore for MT4, MT5. Try to go with some pure ECN brokers for a better platform experience.

Choosing a time frame entirely depends on the strategy you are using. It is true that most professional traders won’t suggest using shorter time frames but sometimes you need to use them also.
