I guess you could write to myfxbook or Signal Start or Tickmill and ask whether the data shown for a master MAM account includes the aggregate balance of all the accounts including clients' accounts or just the balance of the trader's account.It is my understanding that the data shown for an account in Signal Start is provided by the broker.In the case of myfxbook, for Frero on the page where account info is shown ( https://www.myfxbook.com/members/wassel2017/frero/2406407 ) above the graph there are check marks indicating "Track record verified" and "Trading privileges ...

@CuongVC Thanks for your contributions. It's great to hear from someone who has actually run a signal.Just trading for myself, I have had a lot of doubts, e.g., whether to close a trade or let it run. The pressure must be greater when you have followers depending on you to make the right decision.

That is true only if we use the same broker.And what incentive does the broker/trader have for crashing the signal? You point out correctly that the broker/trader is making money from the signal subscription fee. But when the broker/trader purposely crashes the signal, they are likely to lose a lot of subscribers, so they have less income from those fees.

I guess it is possible that someone would be so sadistic to make their own signal crash in order to make followers lose all their money, but I doubt it. Have you seen another signal that caused followers to lose virtually all their investment as Maximus did?I hesitate to speculate what is going on in that trader's head. I just lost 95% of the account I had following Maximus. That trader had 59 consecutive winning trades—no losses at all (at least with what is displayed on Signal Start) until the 60th trade, which was less than 5% loss. After a small win, the trader sold EUR/USD and let the trade go on until closing it with a 95% loss.I agree with tk51 above. I also appreciate that while many of us wish we heard from Wassel more often here, at least we do have the capability to communicate with him. In contrast, there is no way at all to communicate with the Maximus trader, like most on Signal Start.

I am concerned about the negative carry trade. It appears to me that it would have been better to sell when there was a small net profit for all the trades or even at points with a smaller net loss. Then, in the meantime, it would have been possible to use the freed-up capital to trade on new conditions, either buying or selling. I think we would be in a better place now. Frero can also be copied on mql5, but the subscription is now the same as on Signal Start: $500/month.I think Wassel is referring to his MAM. He has not said here if he requires a minimum deposit to join his MAM, which I believe is available both on Tickmill and FX Choice.

You were right! On my screen the price rose to 1.1023 and then pulled back a little. My unrealized loss is now about one-third what it was at its worst. I'm holding on.

I figured out the discrepancy in the number of open trades in my account (47) and the number shown in Signal Start. I didn't miss them—they were closed at a profit on 15 Aug. They're the four open trades which Signal Start shows as opened on 14 Aug. Wassel had placed TP orders at 1.11584 for those four trades. According to MT4, the price at my broker reached exactly 1.11584, so the trades were closed in my account at 14:28 server time on 15 Aug. Evidently, the price did not reach 1.11584 at Wassel's broker (Tickmill), so the trades did not close in his account, and are thus s...

Can someone else please tell me how many trades you have open in your account following Frero? Signal Start still shows 51 open trades (when the market closed for the week), and MT4 still shows only 47 open trades in my account. I'm wondering if I missed 4 trades.

CORRECTION: My ratio of lot size to account value is 0.006 lot per 1000 USD balance, which is lower than yours, even after correcting for the difference between EUR and USD. This explains part of the discrepancy between my drawdown and tatr3's. I think Wassel knows what he is doing. EUR/USD has turned around. Right now MT4 shows the drawdown in my account as 18.9%. I'm sure it was greater earlier, before the price started rising. MT4 says I have 47 trades open; Signal Start shows 51! In any case, we should let Wassel focus on trading. For the returns he delivers, we have to take some risk.

One of the first signals I subscribed to would have no activity for 4–6 weeks while the trader went on vacation. Signal Start provides statistics for the signals, and you can also go back in the history to see if this has occurred before you subscribe.
