As I said somewhere else on this forum, time operated (whether it be account or strategy) is the most important criteria for me with percentage gains a second factor. The strategy may have been profitable for six months but we all know that with a change in the market the next six months could be devastating with the strategy no longer performing. It's a long shot.Oh, while I was typing this post, you just posted exactly what I was trying to say.

Yeah, I know - I went off on a tangent. I was just surprised that you would listen to someone with a profitable account that was only 6 months young. I can show you 10 of my own that are 6 months or older and are profitable but I'm not selling myself 😀 And I'm a manual trader and I totally agree with your comment on locked trades. Everyone is an expert on other peoples' trades except their own. How people go about percentage gains is their own business. The equity curve and other statistics available on the page provide more than enough information. Time operated/per...

Oh, sorry, I should have checked. I just saw Alpari and thought don't think so. I downloaded all the performance records from the FXCM site into Excel, sorted the data into performers and was adding up each performer's stats. There are some serious losses. They may have one or two winning strategies but their losing strategies far outweighed the winning ones. I gave up after adding up about 20 or so performer's stats - I think one may have been profitable overall. You'd have to be very choosey about which strategy you wanted in on. I think I'll stick to my own manual...

Six months? I'd have to say at least a year. And if I was going to put my money with anyone, I'd want at least 2-3 years of results.

Well I am a girl and very disappointed that my mother took me out of Kung Fu classes when I was a youngster stating that "it wasn't feminine". Little did she know that I would come and live in London and, at times, it would have come in handy 😈I don't trust any system. I'm more than capable of losing my own money 😁 A friend said to me a few weeks back to have a look at these sites. Check out http://www.fxcm.co.uk/forex-system-selector.jsp. Here is the list of performers http://fxcm.fx-performance.com/Performance.aspx#PagePerformance There is another p...

Alpari UK has funky price action. A trader on FF has shown some charts when it has happened and he has had to email them on several occasions to have his trades fixed up and put back as they were except they forgot to implement his original trailing stops or inform him when they reinitiated his trades so he ended up in loss. You'd have to keep your eye on them while learning kung fu. Hopefully you can multi-task.

I would say that not every person is trying to sell themselves on this site. Some people just display their accounts so their friends can check on their weekly performance. Some people don't need to trade for other people (or sell signals) to make their money. Not that I have anything against people selling themselves. What I do have an issue with is that those that are selling themselves seem to delete blown accounts therefore not showing their true trading history.

If you go and look at Kapend Investments page it hasn't even been updated and they have also deleted an account. Oh, how the selected few who truly utilize this site as a platform to exhibit a trading art fall. Am I annoyed? Yeah, probably 😄 People who are managing money for others should show their true trading history - not just their winning accounts

Why is it that people always delete their blown accounts? Why not show the true picture of your trading especially when you are managing money for others? Why it is embarrassing to show a blown account? We all know that this market isn't easy - well at least those that have been around for a while ....

Thought I would pop in to see how the selected few utilize this site as a platform to exhibit a trading art. Ooopppps, no update? I was hoping to learn a thing or two from the pros.

I don't know why people get their knickers in a twist about how other people trade. Trading is a very personal thing. At the end of the day all that matters is account growth and different people will achieve this in different ways. We all make mistakes along our journey and there are so few that are successful at this despite the wealth of information out there. So get off your high horses and congratulate the guy for persevering rather than trying to drag him down.
