Manual Trading Versus EAs Trading, Which Do You Prefer?

Easytrader,Although I trade manually, I would love to be able to have an EA trade for me whilst I take some time off to do other stuff or to simply enjoy some extra family-time without compromising on trading-time. I think EA's are a fantastic way to trade provided they work as well as the author of the EA trading manually. I guess an EA can be successful in the long-term, provided the author keeps tweaking it whenever "needed" to keep it performing at its best with changing market conditions. But as someone who enjoys trading and spending time analyzing the market, if I could I w...
PAMM Stats.

Sep 25, 2010 at 02:44
If by any chance this is too complicated or not possible another alternative would be to make it possible to select which columns in the trade history we would like to display.(controlled by the account owner and not the visitor) If this can be done then we can choose not to display the "$ profit" column since the % gain/loss for each transaction is available. So basically all stats and reports will be based on % and not amounts. So each PAMM client can then apply the % gain/loss to their own accounts to determine their balance/equity whilst still being able to take a look at the sta...

Hi,It would be great if you could add this column in as well to display the order/ticket number of each transaction so that we can easily locate a given trade when we need to.Thx.

Hi,I'm not sure how you will go about doing this but would it be possible to segregate PAMM clients' account-stats from the Manager's main trading account-stats ?I see that each client's deposit together with their account number is available in trade history. The account number however has been taken automatically by the comment blob. The objective is to be able to direct the client to his own account-performance-stat page. It is not absolutely necessary to make the trading history available since you will then also need to apportion lot sizes according to the % each client hol...

Thx Kenny ! And thx Steve for pointing out that I DO NOT have a 100% win rate. Thx Kenny for also pointing out that as long as there are open trades it's not 100% win rate. I have not made such a claim either. But the focus of this thread is not about "my" performance. Once again, as Kenny has mentioned nobody here seems to be able to offer a logical explanation as to what it is that we are HIDING which a potential "investor" (NOT another trader) cannot deduce from what is already available. All it takes is a little bit of Math.By making baseless, unfounded, unsubstanti...

Yup you're right - a summary line at the end of each date. Hope the team will be able to implement this... soon. 😉 It'll be nice to see our performance summarized on a daily basis.

Hi,Would it be possible to have an icon which when clicked pops out the relevant section in its own little window, which we can then have floating on our desktop ? Something like the google chat window within gmail which can be popped out. There are basically 5 sections on the myfxbook profile page :1. Info Box2. Chart Box3. Advanced Statistics Box4. Trading Activity Box5. Monthly Analytics Box#4 is not needed for pop-up since this info is available at a glance on the trading platform. If this can be done, it'll provide us with all the info at a glance without having to switch between the tr...

Gil,You have been too quick to judge me. You don't know me from Adam and yet you sound like you know me well enough to pass judgment. In a nutshell let me explain what happened : this person pretended to be a potential investor although he claimed to be a money manager himself. I was very open and upfront about everything including the terms and conditions, particularly the minimum funding requirement. It was plain to see that my verified performance was demo. I had already covered 6 months by then. He pursues and asks to see the statements and requested some additional details pertaining t...

From an investor's point of view what is the additional "useful" information that they can derive from being able to see the trade history here on myfxbook? Every piece of critical information needed by an investor is already available without having to see the trade history. All data here on myfxbook is verified. So what's the purpose of checking the trading history ?? There's nothing left to verify. In my opinion, the only ones who insist on seeing the trade history are probably the ones who want to try and somehow reverse-engineer the strategy >> aka "stealing...

Just finished reading this entire thread and was beginning to think that I was wrong in believing that trading styles that produce such high returns cannot be sustained in the long term. I guess my belief is still correct after all.In my experience potential investors would be more than happy with Money Managers who can consistently produce monthly returns of 5-10%.$100 cannot be considered an investment. It's more like spending money. When the deposits are this small, obviously he will need to produce huge returns to make it worthwhile for his investors and also for himself. And to produc...

Hi Will - that's interesting. But chk this part of the article out :-------------------------------In or about May 2007, S. May e-mailed additional information (E-mail) to at least one PA Resident. The E-mail states that Pace will place an Investor’s money into a “PAMM”, i.e., percentage allocation account; that Pace will pool all the Investors’ funds and trade the funds as one investment in order to increase returns; and that Pace’s goal for returns on investments is 3% to 5% a month.------------------------------This makes me wonder if "PACE" was co...
