I am just getting back to my PC. I am rather speechless on the size of the loss in my IBFX account of almost 21 %, compared to the other accounts of around 2-8 %. I have to investigate this. But nevertheless, that's how MDP is trading. It just wasn't the right spike today for MDP.-Offset overflow-warning: This seems to be happening if the respective chart is missing some bars. MDP will trade again after some time. Just wait.Fred

Hey Folks,why is the thread so quite? Is everybody gone for the weekend already? 😉Maybe somebody is still reading here and can confirm this:I think the internal publishing function of MT4, which can be used for uploading the trades to this site, often interferes with MDP trades and slows the order-handling. I noticed that the publisher tries to publish any new (pending-)order and maybe also modifications of orders. This is unrelated to the time-interval set for updating. Kaptain,you should consider switching off the automatic windows updates and do them manually at the weekend.For starting any software when the VPS is starting (without login) you can use the software "always up". I haven't heard about what v 416 comprises, but I don't think it could be harmful. I heard someone having successful trades yesterday with it. The next foreseeable trading chance for MDP is probably Bernankes speech later today.Cheers, Fred

@Misty:Yes, but taking commission does not mean the broker is 100% honest, it's just a first sign, that it COULD be that he is providing a conflict-free trading environment. I learned lately that many brokers claiming to be ECN do both: Marking up the spread AND taking commission.Regarding rebates I can understand that brokers try to get help attracting clients, but why don't they offer better trading conditions for customers signing up without an IB? There will always be dishonest brokers. Therefore it is important to do your due diligence regarding all the aspects of a brokerage before you entrust your money to them. The mere fact, that there exists such a software to "manage trades", i. e. to simulate a deal-desk on the server-side, does not mean each and every broker is using it.Regarding the comment of Misty I like to add, that more and more brokers claim that they are STP or ECN, because they notice that clients want to trade the "real" markets and want to have tight spreads and are therefore looking for ECN-tradin...

Hm, how can uptime possibly be 99.99 % if they go down unexpectedly? My VPS has not gone down in about a year, only lost Internet-connection maybe twice (so I had to restart it myself). See my profile for a link to their website.CheersFred

He got trades at IBFX, at similar times as I had at my 2nd broker:http://www.myfxbook.com/members/oldchartreader/oldchartreader/247371During those times spread was 2.7 and 2.6 maximum and 1.8 on average on IBFX. No trades at IBFX(AU) today at NFP! 😭2 independent trades at 2nd broker for a gain of 1.6 %, 1 trade at third, but loss of 0.5%!Very strange.Who else is sharing some results? Thanks.CheersFred

No, according to my research and experience MDP will still trade after this error occured. I also had this error when I started trading a new account. It seems to be an error of an internal indicator.TschüssFred

Yes it should. Did you use the reset-script? Because if not, even when restarting the Metatrader terminal, the speed-values will appear again after applying MDP to the chart. That is because MDP saves all the values to permanent variables of Metatrader. But maybe they couldn't be saved properly when shutting down the VPS?!Anyway, if there are no errors, you don't have to worry.Good luckFred

It seems like the signal wasn't very strong today, as I also got a mixed number of trades on my three accounts: 4 trades, 1 and nil.And the third account has the lowest spread!@Eddie: Any errors in the trading-journal?@Greg: I know this happens when you set up a new account or have reset MDP with the reset-script. Because these times are measured while MDP is trading.Fred

There is nothing in the manual about it and I have always used FIFO=false. But I think you are right and found out an important thing! - Eddie is right with his post, I agree it will not work with a stop level of 5 full pips.- I thought IBFX handles FIFO internally for the US, not in MT4. See the statement on this page (lower part): http://www.ibfx.com/Platform/Free-Forex-Demo-Account But the statement is rather cryptic, someone would have to try it out or to ask them directly to be sure, I guess.
