Its the weekend.....and....transactions take time (couple of weekdays days at least in both directions).Why not go to other broker then(?), as you can request on 59th day your money back, so that gives you time to try.I haven't been able to buy it yet, but for those fortunate enough to be able to I'm pro-trying-REV-out! :)Best.

Ok Cool. Seems dangerous lot sizes, no? Only reason I thought it another REV EA forward test is I saw you talking on that discussion board so I clicked your name and found you were running something, apparently presumed wrong it was REV.Are you starting even more dangerously re: lot sizes than even Doug of REV did?Looks too dang holy grail like so far. Well, for sure if it can continue this well without caving in after so many months, please let me know of sale of your EA. Typo, sorry: 10X. Still, holy moly! Guess its with REV trader pro, right?But why lots cranked so riskily high? You do know you can allow trades to be shown and that there is a time delay setting so there is no risk of being trade-copied?Jerry

Hi Doug,I was about to "make the plunge", but your saying its an occasional software update and not just a .set update had me backing off. With a .set a kind of wfa (walk forward analysis, periods of backdata to optimize followed by forward test) as something to examine over the 60day guarantee would be cool. But software updates means my $700 is going for dependency you'll always be here, which is no guarantee that any of us will long term be here. I'm not a doubter, just trying to look at this scientifically. Otherwise I've mostly been impressed despite the negative ...

Well said cranelia! Scientific look is WFA (optimize then Walk Forward Analysis), opinions and "its been good for me for X period" is wishful dreaming. (Bad mouthing something POTENTIALLY good is also not good)How hard is it for someone here to import Dukascopy, forextester or fhdb 1min backdata and do a manual sort of WFA? Not very hard. Well, at this point, if things dipped 50% or even 75% he'd could be out of this gig with golden eggs, growth + sales. WFA (walk forward analysis) is the professional route, it wasn't designed into StrategyQuant for nothin'! Unfortunately, WFA in it is only for strategies developed in SQ. WFA, only way to scientifically know for sure. (Since most EA's "ain't gonna" be good forever as-is)

Got it that you done total withdraw. Will your next REV setup be connected here?I almost was diving in to buy, but came upon a good nerdish tester "James" which demonstrated that REV isn't good long-term (unless someone could do a walk forward optimizing analysis with something like a WFA software, which is now only a trial version). I DID find, finally, someone (a James, commenting over on Birts EA reviews) who had done extensive test analysis: http://twathochties.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/rev-trader-pro-should-it-stay-or-should.html?m=1I comment on that Birt thread that use of Walk Forward Analyzer was still due as Doug does occasional optmizations. However, WFA is now only available as only a trial version (I don't know why sales stopped, due to incompatibility of v600+ versions of mt4?). So work would have to be done in 14 days. Thanks for info aicohn,What does "reversion stuff" mean? Are you talking about retracements? Which I'm to get from some of the conversation here is that REV is retracement leading to a short only?This is why I'm vacillating back 'n forth to desiring backtest on 1min resolution with Dukascopy, forextester or fhdb 11-12yrs data using the REV's 1hr TF. It would show whether this strategy is basically sound over most all times......or.....bring on the walk-forward tester which works with mt4 and thereupon would show if Optimizing at certain periods is viable or not. Well aicohn, if you're so inclined to hookup so both are separately magic# showing then we can use the evaluate feature to see separately such as REV by itself.......if so inclined someday, up to you. Currently I love following gwindy, never seen such EA greatness for the "little guy" (just hope he's not part of the REV Co. Clan, as him and overall picture is getting me closer to considerations to buy).
