Australia RBA Interest Rate Decision
The Reserve Bank of Australia's Board is responsible for making interest rate decisions in Australia. The cash rate, which is the interest rate, is imposed on overnight loans between financial intermediaries, is established in the money market as a result of the interaction of demand for and supply of overnight funds.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the AUD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the AUD.

Australia Westpac Consumer Sentiment At 6-Month Low
Australia consumer sentiment deteriorated to a six-month low in April on escalating tariff war, survey data from Westpac showed Tuesday. The Westpac-Melbourne Institute Consumer Sentiment Index fell to 90.1 in April from 95.9 in March. The 'family finances vs a year ago' sub-index registered a sharp 8.5 percent fall to 70.2 in April.
