Introducing Release 3.0 of the Volatility Trader software.
This set-up is running on an account that was previously used with earlier versions of some of our other software. (Hence the custom start date.)
Since its start-up on February 3, this account is running with a set of 8 signals generated by our software:
The strongest of our earlier set, developed during December 2009:
a) vtr3b(21)1: vl28/td5
b) vtr3b(21)2: vl60/td180
c) vtr3b(21)3: vl140/td220
The 'new-improved' 'vl80' set, featuring tighter stops, developed during January 2010:
d) vtr3b(31)15: vl80/td240 (contrarian mode)
d) vtr3b(31)16: vl80/td240 (contrarian mode)
d) vtr3b(31)17: vl80/td240 (normal mode)
d) vtr3b(31)18: vl80/td240 (contrarian mode)
d) vtr3b(31)19: vl80/td266 (normal mode)
(If the codes and names are not that meaningful to you that's fine... they are mostly for our own reference.)
NEW FEATURE TO BE INTRODUCED IN RELEASE 3.0B, BEGINNING OF MARCH 2010:
* Support for unique modeling by normal/long, normal/short, contrarian/long, and contrarian/short
This newest release, which is currently running modeling in preparation for live trading, should improve the performance of the trades even more. The initial sets that are being modeled, which we intend to introduce into the 'Signal Base' (if I may coin a term), are based on vl120/td180 and vl120/td360 configurations. The opening positions associated with these new signals are expected to fire approximately 4 times per week, with greater accuracy and returns than the best sets in use thus far (the vl80 sets). The current plan for the beginning of March 2010 is to evaluate the current Signal Bases running on both accounts (that is, the accounts represented by MyFXBook set-ups 'volatility-trader-r20-LIVE' and 'volatility-trader-r30-LIVE-A') and replace if necessary the weakest signals with this new stronger set.
