The growth curve looks cool, indeed, but to me the EA suddenly looks totally not cool. Reason? Too much averaging down. See here a basket that went all the way to 8 trades:

Experienced people know that the grid system should be tested at least 10 years of backtest. This EA has backtets only from 26/08/2008!!! I think that backtest from 2007 will account blow up. Very similar to one EA, which is free. I wonder if that you guess?

That stats look nasty, but there are no informations about risk used and there are unsupported pairs. Could you give me more info about settings?

He traded unsupported pairs and he played with SL. Look at his worst trade, -1323 pips. He probably used suicide mode ;)

What are the settings on this Volatility Factor account?

Also, why do you not allow back-testing to before 2008?

Remus found 8 open positions. Birt's EA Review website stated 4 positions max. Can the developer please share the details of what this strategy does.

I also noticed the recent losses, Does the EA close the positions before the weekend? Is that the reason for closing down the latest positions and not stacking more to the floating loss

The max basket size is one of the EA parameters (to be precise, the parameter actually tells how many positions to open when averaging down, so it would be 7 or 3 in our case). I bet the recent close of the EURUSD basket and the fact that there are no new GPBUSD positions opened in the current basket is because they changed the basket size for this official account, from 8 to 4.

The default 'maxnegs' is 3, so it will add the original position, plus 3 more, by default. You can set this as high as you want, but in their backtests they show that 3 is the best option for least drawdown and max profitability factor. That being said, I have personally set mine to 1, so it will do initial position + 1. You can even set it to 0 if you want.

you are not serious when you show that as a proof to denigrate wfr?

what i like is to see bt before 2008,for me this is the the biggest turn off about that ea. only ignorant or stupid people will buy this without any more proofs

you have to know what change in WSFR to be good enough for you.
If you make many back tests you will find the answer.
WS is good if you want to have stable 5% monthly, and I am telling you, it is enough :-)
