Hi Yas K,
Just visiting your blog and I came here. :). Your results with Numberone are really impressive, especially with Pepperstone Razor. Could be you please be so kind telling me your VPS setting and the EA setting for Pepper Razor?
Thanks a million in advance and may the green pips always be with you.
Ps: Oh, and congratulations for your trade result today, this time you beat Peter Parker at the forum I believe LOL...

I'm using thehostingfolks (https://www.thehostingfolks.com/) as my VPS. Pepperstone server is located in NY, but thehostingfolks is located in UK. With NO, VPS doesn't have to be very close to the trading server. I'm using thehostingfolks simply because it's cheap. It's a very good alternative to CNS for me (note: support is much superior with CNS). So technically, there's no hidden secret about my VPS.
I think when I've stopped using some other EAs than NO, which consumed much resources, my performance got slightly better. That's something you might want to think about.
My settings are:
Trailing Distance: 2.5
Min Trailing Stop: 2.5
Spread Compensation: true
Everything else is default.
Peter Parker is a very nice guy, I like his humor all the time.
Good luck with your trading!

I really thank you for your insights mate.
A couple more questions if you don't mind,
1. At the hostingfolks, are you using Windows Server 2008 Standard or Web?
2. How much RAMs are you using?
Yup, I believe Spidey is a nice a guy and he is the one who always wants to help others in the forum. I like his 12 rounds match between FXPrimus and LMAX. :).

I use Web. Standard version is for those who would like to do more complicated things. For traders, Web is enough.
My RAM is 4GB. When I started using their VPS, I had been running some EAs and one of them consumed so much RAM so I selected 4GM. However, after stopping using that EA, I think I no longer need 4GB.
Please note that, with thehostingfolks, ping times to both FXPRIMUS and Pepper are slower than that of CNS. I had once been using CNS and I compared the ping times between those VPSs. So you have to be aware that changing your VPS may not make your performance better. I believe my results are largely attributed to 2.5 distance settings, which Spidey has been using all the way from his initial trading with NO. My results were obviously improved after I changed my distance from 2.0 to 2.5.
Also, the support of thehostingfolks is very slow. They reply to your inquiry only during UK business hours. Although they say they provide around the clock support, it's not true.
About the distance parameters, I think you should check the live price action, for example during NFP time. When the price action is furious, tighter distance most likely end up with premature stop out, and never work well. I know one trader is successful even with 3.0 or 3.5 (I forgot) with Pepper. But I believe 2.0 is too tight for Pepper as it moves more vividly than FXPRIMUS.
Hope it helps!
