hi cacus,

great work, well done!

why is there a risk to blow the account? are there large open drawdowns? too bad we can't see the real equity curve as in Onix.

Hi bubo, as per backtest (wich is really poor against this forward I don't know why) there are some moments with high risk trades. As for today, it opened a buy order when a big new was announced and EU broken a hard resistance level... It's facing some DD right now... let's see what the market says at the end. Regards!

Backtests may not be accurate if you take trades before bars are completed. Also, if you have multi-timeframes, there may be problems with backtesting results.

Have you tried the news filter from forex factory, to prevent the EA from trading before news?

Yes bubo, I'm aware of that. But since this EA is pretty old and don't uses different TFs and operates just on closed bars I don't know what could be wrong... :P Anyway, it's just a test since I just had that code forgotten and a month ago I found it and backtested and I was just curious on how this would perform on current conditions... and so far so good :)
Anyway, as I said, it's an OLD code, a lot of improvements can be done, it just has no clear exit strategy so it depends primarily and hardly on optimization. It's mostly a basic Swing trading strategy based on EMAs and stochs.
About the news... Yes, I thought about that. But I'm currently working on other projects right now, AND, I found some time ago that my trading style is pure scalping so this method don't fit my style right now.

Hi Cacus,

Pretty amazing what Emancipate traded. Anyway, it seems that there is no update in September, what is the status of your Emancipate v5 now?

RJ1, it's at 400 usd right now... pretty calm month it seems...
I'll take a look why it didn't update the status...
Regards!

Well, the platform is configured ok, i really think i need someone from the staff here to check what's wrong :S

EDIT: I missed to check 'Pasive mode' on publisher setup, it's ok now. Let's hope this change make the deal.
