As much as I'm starting to like cTrader/cAlgo, backtesting is actually its major drawback right now. You can't load your own data, and they don't provide a very long time period in their charts - only 1 year for H1 candles and a couple of months for M5. Its very risky writing an EA with so little data to backtest it with & hope for decent results going forward. I don't know why they designed it this way, and I really hope its addressed soon.

Wow, talk about a lousy attitude. If that's how MetaQuotes think then the sooner everyone moves away from MT4 the better. It seems in their world that everyone else is the enemy, they're the North Korea of the forex software world. Add me to the list of traders beginning a transition to cTrader - it'll be a pain converting EAs, but I guess it was time I learned C# anyway ;)

The 1st trade (the $570ish loss) was not part of the method, but instead was a careless throwaway trade I added when I created the account - why I don't know.Anyway, can't promise much as I'm rusty & need to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully this will be a positive learning experience & making it public will keep me honest and help me trade well.
