So who pays for FPA? Who pays for Myfxbook whilst we're on the subject? I don't spend a lot of time below H4 charts, but anyway you look at the Yen pairs right now, shorting the Yen seems the most logical position to take. My long-term price projection on the USDJPY is around the 111.00 mark.

That's right! Just like in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Japan, and other jurisdictions with "credible" regulation, if you provide advice and/or financial management services to clients within one of these jurisdiction then you too are captured by those same regulations.

Keep doing what you've been doing. Your fear of loss is preventing you from future gains, and I suspect this is because you might not have a clear money management plan. A sensible stop-loss and trailing-stop strategy will give you the confidence of knowing potential losses "before" you enter a trade, plus help you secure breakeven and systematically lock-in accrued profit as a trade progresses.

MT4 volume is not a good guide at all, as highlighted in your post netkoala. A better source of volume information is the COT report published each Friday.

FPA is far from being a scam. If a trader raises a legitimate complaint FPA will investigate and report on its findings, thus alerting the community to potential problems. My understanding of this particular case is that FPA gave Insta ample opportunity to reply, but "alleged" supporting evidence was not provided by Insta.With that said, it's up to the individual trader to make up his or her own mind. In my opinion Insta does not seem to be a bad broker overall. The issue with FPA, to my knowledge, is related to bonuses.

More waffle! Why can't you verify your track record? Why do your stats show 62% drawdown, but your DD chart shows nothing? I know why, and you do too!You think I am critical of your EA, but I am not. It is the stats you are providing. You are trading 10,000 lots at 1:200 leverage, which is totally unrealistic. Please, name a broker that will allow you to trade these settings on a live account? If you want credibility, you have to be credible!

I guess forexpipcatcher has never kept a trading log, nor checked the bottom of a MT4 trading statement. Of course, it takes a little longer than 9 days of demo trading to construct a usable trading log, and a little more time to understand the data presented on a MT4 statement, but if you keep studying you'll get there sooner or later.😎

This is a common formula, and is explained in the book "Better Trading" by Daryl Guppy. Mike's analogy is not wrong at all. He is simply not prepared to trade more than 50% of the account balance at any one time, and is not prepared to lose more than 1% of account funds on any one losing trade. In "Better Trading" the author proposes no more than 6% of account funds should be committed at any one time, although he is talking about non-leveraged share trading.
