Ya, I feel I have to chip in here......Sam, everybody here is trying to give things a go and sometimes people are going to comment on your system or trading. If you cannot deal with that then I don't know how you deal with trading for other people.Given the level of information you have posted, your response to Paul was WAY out of line. Frankly the history you post here is a joke. Nobody cares that you had some difficulties with highly leveraged positions....you managed to wipe out 35% of your account in the first month.....and then you shoot your mouth off like some trailer trash when you...

Fair comment, however, given the fact that most people have no idea where Belize is, they could quite easily equate that to not being regulated at all.

Hi Will,Sorry to hear about that.......I believe your government is trying to ruin it for everybody. Just for the sake of answering your question.......It goes without saying that I like Jade.....at the moment. I tend to have a mercenary attitude towards brokers. I change live accounts like some poeple change underwear, so the fact that I am currently with Jade says it all.Deposits and withdrawals happen at lightning speed. The feed is pretty good, but their liquidity provider is Citi Bank and Citi Bank have had liquidity problems from time to time, most notably at rollover time, leading to so...

Have another look at the code.......there is nothing in there that is timeframe dependant, other than when it will make the next trade, ergo more trades on a lower timeframe.

Actually it waits for a number of bars between each trade. Use on a lower timeframe to increase the number of trades.

Slavo,Actually what I would do is match up the orders and then close the leftover orders first. Then you can take your time closing the opposing orders as you will be perfectly hedged. You could use a simple spread filter to reduce your cost, so only send the OrderCloseBy() instruction when the spread is below a certain value.

How about a section that shows the day's biggest winners and losers........this would need to live accounts only. It always makes me feel like a winner when some-one else loses more money than me😈

Slavo,I know what you mean.....there is very little by way of reading material on the internal mechanisms of a broker. I have learnt most of these things the hard way.In my case I had a run-in with MB Trading. One morning I woke up to find a bunch of trades running on my account that did not come from my side. I did the obvious thing and closed them......and that is where the proverbial poo hit the fan.It turns out they were "ghost" trades that had been created by a corrupt file at one of their liquidity providers. The problem was the trades did not exist and by closing the ghost tra...

Actually just been running some tests. I have been eyeing out this OrderCloseBy() function for a while.I don't do hedge Grid trading, but for those that are interested, here is some good ideas to pass on to your programmers....There are 3 scripts attached to this post. Use the Open_Hedge_Trade script to open 30 trades on your demo account......make sure it is a big account cos it open 1 full lot per trade.Run the Close_All script and note the time in the experts tab. Then Open the 30 trades again and run the Quick_Close script. Note the time in the experts tab. You will see the Quick_Close...

Slavo,I'm inclined to agree with Steve. Slippage is a parameter that you can use to give yourself a choice of accepting a fill or not. Once you have decided to close a string of orders, you are actually committed to accepting whatever fill you get by your strategy...............changing the slippage does not improve the fill that you receive.A normal broker will not look at your slippage before 'getting' you a price. They will find you a price and then they will look at the slippage parameter to determine whether to accept or to re-quote.You should also tell me which broker you are...

Ya, nee, I'm a yaapie, but at least from the right side of the railway tracks.........Slavo,If you are closing 30 orders, I am not surprised you are getting slippage and spread changes. You say that your EA closes all trades with minimal slippage.....care to elaborate on how it does that? As far as I know you cannot control slippage. Perhaps you should get your EA to record the Bid/Ask and then calculate your total slippage.......I think it may be an eye opener. And, yeah, I think you may have come across the fact that not all brokers are the same.OrderProfit() is in deposit currency. It i...

Ya boet, I run off cheap computers that can't do that, but I like the way you think. No wonder banks will spend millions to shave 1 ms off their latency.

Apart from that, I have one more word for you..........FILLS.I have seen the same broker, running the same EA on 2 live accounts from the same VPS have different results.Unfortunately a broker does not operate on the WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get) priciple like a good computer program, nor is it like a supermarket where you can just pick up any quantity of produce at the displayed price like the next shopper.I always think of it as a big sign outside a store that says "Price 1.64.....while stocks last". This means that if I pick up an order, 1 ms(yup 1 thousandth of a second) ...

As clear as mud......I must be slow. What happens to the trade? Do the other investors simply pick up an extra dose of exposure, or do they close off part of the trade?Lets say its just you and me. We both have a 50% share of a $10k account. There is one big trade using $2000 margin(2 Lots @ 1:100) and this trade is in $4000 drawdown. This means that you have $2000 that you can draw. You take your $2000, leaving us with $2000 free equity. The fact is, that is MY free equity and you have zero free equity. Now you will not get a margin call because you are piggy backing on my equity. How is that...

Sorry, Wallace, I am still not convinced mate.I have said my experience is limited so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I would dig much deeper. Think about this logically......you have a trade going and an investor wants to pull funds out. There is no way that will work unless the open trade is dealt with. That means a partial close, so ask Support if they do partial closes. The next hurdle is that how does the PAMM system know which account to assign the close to? This implies that they have some sort of reconciliation system in the background that will know who is going to withdraw fund...

My experience is limited as I have run with 2 brokers and the above sums up my experience with them. Each time I wanted to add funds, I had to flatten the account which was a real pain if you running any sort of grid.Other brokers may offer some way around this but once again you would have to extract it out of them and them saying an investor can withdraw when ever they like, may be 'technically' correct, they may still have the practical limits. One would think they could simply close the orders in the sub-account but many brokers do not support partial closing of orders(which it woul...
