They have it yes. I saw it somewhere. But MT is so slow. Every time you add to a position it generates a new trade, so if I been working a position for a year I end up with 100 000 trades or more. To close them in MT takes about 18 hours. It's a joke.

We'll - all I can say is I had no issues at all with them despite my volumes. If you were using MT I'm not surprised, they haven't gotten that sorted there at all. I used the JAVA API.

API is $60 a month. Not a train smash.Look - I'll use them before any of the other MT brokers, but Oanda for now is king, those 1 unit trades means I can compound per tick really. Sadly the API fee there is a bit steep, $600 a month, but I've done serious volume on them, 100 000 trades plus a day.

I didn't look further Misti, I saw the trade sizes and stopped there. API is API I guess, they seem awfully proud of their execution speed and claim to be an exchange as apposed to an ECN broker. But to me it just looks like a faster MT broker with the option to use other languages. They were measuring in milliseconds as apposed to micro seconds. So nothing special on the speed side. I guess I just switched off when I saw I couldn't pursue my strategy on it.

I trade 1 unit if I can cause I can make a profit on it. Means I can get exact trade sizes and values. If I want to throw 1 more Euro at the market I can.

Well I had a hard long look at LMAX .On FX they're missing the point. Smallest units would be 1000 units or 0.01 lots on a 100k lot sizes. Which is Metatrader sizes. Just not good enough. Oanda breaks their trade sizes down to 1 unit, which is what one really needs. And the API trades about the same speeds as LMAX, if not faster.
I have done 1,000% in 1 week twice on demo and I need to do it live...

Or maybe we just need have a nice cup of coffee, wake up and stop dreaming, and don't drag other people down with us. I gave clear concise reasons why this would fail. No one wants to listen, go ahead. Fail. It's the hot stove thing. I can tell you many times don't put your hand on the stove. Don't believe me, go right ahead. More investors want to feel the pain?

Damn difficult to do though in fx, be warned, will take a lot of time.Fx, especially the HFT stuff is without doubt the most difficult thing I've done in my life. Maybe I'm just not clever enough, but I had to fight for it really hard.

I would submit though, that at this stage of the HFT game I wouldn't try take these guys on in their own game. Needs to be a new form of strategy that is not dependent on speed alone. For forex you can't expect more than 20 000 maybe 40 000 ticks per pair per day, so there is only that many value changes. If you try and battle it out at the order book real HFT style on speed, most likely these guys are to far ahead to stand a real chance.Tell you another thing, LMAX saying they update 10 times a second on that entry account, so they work in milli seconds rather than micro seconds BATS ...

When you add account look for this: "Try the new account addition wizard - adds your account in real time and updates it independently (beta)"It's just a little bit up from where you chose platform, and follow the instructions.

Ditch that broker. I've done much higher volumes with decent brokers. 7 mins for a trade is a ridiculous requirement.

But then you're not really rescuing accounts, you're looking for clients. We know for a fact there's at least a 100 000 losing accounts out there, all of them worth anything from $1 to $10 000. If you're any good then it doesn't matter if it's even $1, the compounding will do the work, get the client and who knows, a year later he might slap down 10k, 100k, whatever....don't let entry amount fool you. Anybody with half a brain will test the manager first with a small amount. For at least a year or two before putting down a decent amount.
