Here is something I noticed this evening, when starting trading in a NEW account.The commission estimated by MDP was wrong, and it was not the first time I noticed it (you see it displayed on the chart; check if it matches what you know about your broker). After I do some backtests, I'll decide if I replace the existing version in my forward tests account (2.1), or keep it in place and run the new one (2.5) in different accounts (or maybe even the same accounts, with a different magic number).

No, it's Pepperstone Standard (that's why the S in the PepS account name).I did not want to use the lowest spreads, just better than FXDD (by more than 1 pip on some pairs).

Thanks Matt for the info!I'm not familiar with HotForex or their PAMM, but since most people here, on myfxbook, will not even look at a non-verified account, I suggest you investigate how you can get that done. The week is wrapping up, and over the weekend I'll have other things to do, so I'll post a short summary now.The forward testing of FFM, using default parameters, has been just horrible so far. Yes, the USD had wild swings, and since FFM trades USD pairs, it's not wonder that it was affected. Still, for an EA claiming to have such a low DD as the sales page mentions, the robot has proven to be far from the sales pitch. Could you just give us the coupon? So that people buy from the affiliate they want to? I recommend buying from EAreview.net, since you get the added value of backtests of all sorts.No offense, but by posting your affiliate link here it looks like you are just trying to make a quick buck, and you are using a product link supposed to be used for Donna Forex readers.

Received 1 hour ago from FFM team:Less than a week after release, here comes a patch... Not a good sign, for me, but at least the team shows interest, and that's better than nothing. At least now I have all my backtesting infrastructure ready, so I'll be able to repeat the tests very easily.

I'm not going to fine tune for my broker. I think that's pure BS, just to give people stuff to believe it, and waste time trying. Of course you will get different performance with different parameters, but the main reason I bought this EA was the claim to be broker independent (the second reason was the high pips expectancy shown on the page).So far none of these seem to be true, but again, I'm not concerned given the very short period of forward testing. If around Feb 8 (about 3 weeks days into purchase) the signs are not favorable, I'll just ask for a refund and that's it...

I'm glad I reported on that before you! :) Since I started by promoting this EA, I wanted to be the first to say that so far it's not a good start. Still, I'll be patient for at least another 2 weeks.

I intentionally activated DualMode, since it's the default (and that's how I did my backtests). That (the use of hedging) is one reason I picked FXDD (the other reason is that is has high spreads, so it's good to see how the EA handles that).

3 accounts marked with red (actually it's pink, red was too bright, and I did not like the contrast) today: 2 of them blew up, the other went MIA. There is nothing to announce publicly yet. I expanded a lot in 2011, in many directions, so the first part of 2012 will probably be a period of contraction, like consolidating accounts, getting rid of some EAs, getting rid of one RE property, and so forth.

Quick update: forward testing performance, in all 3 accounts, just sucks ;) The 2 demo accounts are running with the equivalent of a 2% risk, and the real account is running with the equivalent of a 1.5% risk.On the positive side, the trade count is steadily increasing, so by the end the week we'll likely have 50+ trades in at least one account. I'm looking for 100+ trades before trying to make sense of the statistics, but 50+ is also acceptable (as the minimum).
