I see some really good recommendations in the comments here. Personally I've stuck with an MT4 broker so don't have a lot of experience with MT5.

True. There are a lot of things that go into it, it even takes some aspects of your personality when it comes to discipline, but one of the best things new traders can do is start by being prepared. If you spend enough time learning and you're truly ready, then you have a much higher chance of success and are less likely to get discouraged from the beginning.

I was wondering how bad the advice would be once I saw the title, now I see. Let's just go out blindly throwing money into the wind, when we could have trained and prepared. Anxiety was a big thing for me when I started. Too nervous to enter trades, or I would exit too early. Didn't have a lot of money, so I was afraid to lose the money I managed to invest.I think psychology affects different traders differently. Those with big egos have different challenges than the anxious type, for example.

I do think both have a big impact on the trader. Personally, I was more anxious, so I never really got into overconfidence, even when things go well. I think some of us are more prone to the depression while others tend to trade with their ego, so personality makes an impact here.

I'm curious to know which two brokers you tried and why you weren't happy? Was it because of costs, bad customer service, not having access to instruments or leverage you were looking for, or something else? Without knowing that, it's hard to recommend any one broker. I would suggest CedarFX if you like 0 commission account type setups, they also have good support, but again, hard to say without more info.
What are your preferred broker for crypto CFD's with a tight spread?

You should probably try with CedarFX. Demo accounts don't expire and spreads are tighter, so it should solve the problem. Hope this helps!

I've done both, but have to say I prefer trading crypto through my broker. I still have an account with an exchange that I use from time to time, but it just seems easier and more preferable the other way.

One of the downsides to trading is taking that risk, but we do have tools available to us to manage it so that we don't lose out on too much when things do go badly. I sort of enjoy the thrill, but always take precautions so as not to wipe out the account with a couple of bad moves.

I think it's a good point that nobody with a magic EA is going to sell that secret. There are some good ones out there, but the sellers are making a profit from buyers, whether they have a really good EA or one that isn't that great. They're all going to tell you that theirs will change your life, because they really just want to get the money from you. After that, you're on your own to figure out if they were right or wrong.
