Here is where we are currently. There are no server issues at this point. We have spent tons of cash on infrastructure and backups. This could be a matter of timing. i.e. your first trade went long instead of short. I am actually experiencing something similar on my Non hedging account which has almost no draw down. Its currently at about $84 on a 8100.00 account and I think its because its non hedging and it started in the right direction.

This depends on your desire to get involved. Its possible that in this case you could over ride but I think at that point you would be committing to trading the account until the draw down was overcome. Meaning until this basket is closed you would probably need to manage it on going or at minimum keep a close eye on it. Personally I dont have time to try and manage it manually so I just leave it alone but admittedly that's easy to say when I am not in a draw down that concerns me. The smallest trade size available is a micro lot for most firms. For this reason we can not trade any smaller and since RL1 is one micro lot for each 10k of margin you dont gain any advantage from a risk perspective by adding more. Your profit amount will increase but your risk will not improve. An example is a 3k account with a 600 draw down on rl 1 would be a greater percentage draw down than on a 10k account although it would be the same dollar amount because they are both trading 1 micro lot. Hello everyone, I have not chimed in in a while and there have been several pages of comments and I have not read through them all but I though I would give you a general update. The EA is currently functioning as it should. Those that have reported large draw downs or margin calls were typically on 50.1 accounts with small deposits or just using to high of a RL on a 50.1 account. Duly noted. I have already had a meeting with our customer support manager to ensure there is continuity between the way they direct customers and what is on the Members site. To clarify, the ea is designed to work on a micro account only. If you have 100k in your account you can expect to see 10k in volume for your first order which is equal to a mini lot but it still has to be traded on a micro so that once it earns 10k in can add an additional micro lot to it for a total of .11Dustin

I meant to mention that leverage plays a big role here. For those using more leverage you obviously have more freedom but for those in the US in particular who are using 50.1 you will want to make sure to stay within the guidelines and head the warning that is posted. Dustin

I will discuss this with support. Its possible they were simply telling you what their personal comfort level is. Hello everyone. Ive been out of town the last few days and I wanted to chime in on the lot size issue with Mini accounts. This EA MUST be traded on a micro account to be able to work properly even if you have 100k. It will trade Mini lot volume over $100k but you still need a micro account and this is why. If you trade your way to 10k in profit you will then have $110k which means your trades would then start out with one mini lot and one micro lot and each time you grow by $10k it would increase the lot size by one micro assuming an RL of 1. I am having my support team look at your support thread within our ticket system to see if they have missed anything regarding answering your issues. It definitely sounds like a hosting issue. I am not aware of the EA forcing any station to turn off. This is why we are really focusing more on the Tradency side. There are way less issues to deal with. We are of course still supporting the EA and adding new features but we just dont have any issues out of those using Tradency and that is why we suggest it. Remember that their is a members forum now as well. By chance I have looked at this the last few days but remember that we have people monitoring the members forum daily and I do not always watch this forum. Just an FYI.

Regarding being in profit based on the balance. You mention that the balance would show in profit but I am referring to the equity. Balance means nothing to me as its not a true depiction of performance. If you look at the myfxbook chart the upper line shows the balance and the lower line shows the equity. Equity includes all open trades and this is shared. So when the equity line is above the initial deposit than the overall result is a profit. In the case of our accounts its a substantial profit. CanAm, there is something wrong with your trades. Either at some point the EA stopped working for a few hours or days and it has yet to catch up or their is some other problem. There is no reason that you should be anywhere near breakeven or at a loss if you have been using TomsEa for several months. If the accounts are only a few weeks old then yes that could happen and you should not worry about it but you should not be anywhere near breakeven on accounts that have been open for any length of time. The trades can be entered without a TP but one should be added by the EA at some point. I have seen on occasion that occur but the EA still seems to manage it fine and close it out. I am not the programmer so not sure exactly how it should work but I can say that I have yet to have an order that was not managed by the EA.
