A very nice drop of EU exactly 1 year after MARIO took EU down from 1.3999 to where it is now. It will be very interesting to see what happens next with EU.

Do you believe that waiting for news release is an efficient way to earn money in forex? Floating back in red and green, or sitting in red waiting for news to save you isn't a very good way to have growth even in the short term. Recall that EU started its drop from 1.39xx levels exactly one year ago. Back then everyone was screaming 1.40 and 1.42 even 1.50 and look what that once speech by Mario did. If we simply respect price action can we then make money day in and day out in forex.

Everyone may be bearish, but you may have larger orders going long, so it would make sense to move it up in order to give them the impression that it will spike up, then reverse done. The long will come, on high impact news, and when everyone is expecting a even bigger drop.

Should that occur take the short, and ride it to the pivot below. You can see from my trades in both of my clients accounts I have taken the EU long and closed them for profit.

The reality is that risk management, like every aspect of trading, is 100% SUBJECTIVE..... You will notice that most people use say 1-3% of their accounts, but end up blowing up the account anyway. You will also notice that traders have a set stop loss, which they then begin adjusting based on what they believe will occur next. As the previous commentator mentioned, it all depends on you.

Guys aren't trading for .1% because in most cases .1% of their account value won't cover their over head of even having their computers on. Most of us are aiming for much higher % profit. Even if you were to find someone who avg .1% it doesn't mean that the person will be able to maintain such an avg.

I honestly believe that many of us ignore price action. We ignore it, because we have been taught to. Yet, if you understand price action you will be able to play both side of the coins and make more pips then you would lose by only waiting for a breakout which goes in the same direction of the "long term trend". You can see now that EU has dropped all the way back to where it was when i first called it a buy. Yet we had 50 pips on the move up, and about 50 pips on the way down, so someone who simply shorted at market open would be break even at this point, while someone who scalped...

It has nothing to do with currency strength at all. As currencies will increase or decrease rates based on GLOBAL conditions, instead of it being a reflection of their economy. Please note that rates, and news events are nothing more then fluff. Fluff is just news to be a kick start in big moves which we see.
