Doug told me that latest version is needed, and my thoughts further is that Walk-Forward-Analysis is in order (i.e., optruns in sections of past followed by "walk forward" test......there is such a software that controls mt4 to do this, but strangely, its only now available as trial.....anyone know why? Not compatible with v600+'s? Oh well, so doing manually is possible, except doing this HUGE project within 60 day guarantee most likely not possible.)

Interesting gwindy, you lose >20% initially then decide to deposit $7,000, pretty damn good confidence you'd be alright, how'd you figure? If it were me I would've ONLY backed off my lots and then after flurry of recent winning trades kicked myself, Lol. Well, maybe I would've kept same lot sizes and at least broke even too. :)

Hi! :)We need see lot sizes and trades and deposit and equity to seriously analyze over time if this is a good thing or not. You can set a delay for trade tracking so that no one can copy trades, so there's no excuse to hide much. Thanks ahead for your co-operation.Truly,Jerry

hi Zek,Care to try optimizing runs on 1-2 year sections out of the past then "walk forward" test to see if this "does the trick".. Doug says this should do it.

Yes, I noticed that skysan, if you find out from them what that is all about let me/us know. I think I did quick noggin' figuring and found those spurious fees weren't any more important than their puny spreads, so I hadn't bothered to ask them.

Does anybody here use optimizer in your mt4 to optimize on 1-3yrs for each pair, or y'all just use the default settings? Curious. Maybe none of you use optimizer as just one tester pass is slow I've heard?

Hi Leonardo, Beta tester Jerry here.I'm suppose to set it on two Euro charts? FXCM only lets me do one due to USA FIFO limitation rules. So I'm only using the .set you gave me on 1hr. This is ok? Guess I won't be doing as well, would've had you send me the 15minTF .set but no use now because of USA FIFO rules. If you come up with similarly good gbpusd then I'd have my 2nd beta test item.But you know, my backtest with just this one EA is good, so maybe all is good.
