Quaker Oats Recalls Pearl Milling Original Pancake & Waffle Mix
(RTTNews) - Quaker Oats Co., affiliated to food and beverage giant PepsiCo, Inc., is recalling select Pearl Milling Co. Original Pancake & Waffle Mix distributed in 11 states, citing the possible presence of undeclared milk, a known allergen.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall involves a limited number of two pound boxes of Pearl Milling Original Pancake & Waffle Mix in 32 OZ (2LB) 907g size, with UPC 30000 65040 and code date & manufacturing code of BBD SEP 13 25 P. No other Pearl Milling Company products are recalled.
The impacted product, in a cardboard box, were available to purchase as early as November 18, 2024. These products were distributed to certain retailers in the 11 states of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah and Wisconsin.
The recall was initiated after the Chicago, Illinois-based Quaker was alerted by a retail partner. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may get serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product. However, the company has not received any reports of allergic reactions related to the impacted product so far.
Consumers with an allergy or sensitivity to milk are urged not to consume the product and discard it immediately.
In similar recalls, Lifestyle Evolution Inc. last week called back selected lots of NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip and Dark Chocolate Pretzel nutrition bars as they may contain undeclared milk. In late December, Perkins, Oklahoma-based Ralph's Packing Co. recalled around 3,132 pounds of RTE pork and beef bologna products for the same concern.
