@Marnix well I don't want to change your point of view on the market. I'm just writing my point of view on different pairs that I think offer good opportunities to trade. I am waiting to Buy GBPUSD on mentioned levels because I think todays move will prove to be corrective. I prefere to trade trends not corrections.If you ar short I would recommend to scale some shorts and move stop to high or breakeven.

Closed 1/2 of NZDUSD about +30 pips moved stop to b/e at 0.8390. Price needs to break 0.8285 to confirm the top.

Well second question is a little bit hard to answer in general, but I'll answer my experience.I see trading from risk/reward perspective. My time horizon is wider than most of the traders you can find. I don't try to get rich fast on forex (not that I don't want too) because it involves a lot of risks. Here you can find a loot of traders who make 200-300% in a month, they get in great length to promote their trading, but in the end they loose all. Best way to go it to limit risks as much as possible, always to calculate what you are willing to loose (stop loss) and never risk loose...

Metatrader is a platfor for automatic trading and don't think it's good for manual trading and analysis.I use Trade Station, platform from FXCM UK, a very good platform for manual trading. It is also supported for IOS (ipad and iphone) and android devices. I would highly recommend open a practice account with FXCM and get familiar with the platform.Also a very good platform is Ninja Trader too, it is a paid platform. I am thinking about switching to Ninja, but Trade Station will do just fine.I am 31 and banker by profession. Have a nice weekend too.

@mirange NZDUSD is valid under 0.8435. Just place the stop there and don't worry. It is a trade with well defined resistance. I'm waiting for 0.8390 and don't want to ruin a good month. Also I'm not that confortable paying swaps.I'm not that far away, Kosovo.

Got out of NZDUSD for a few pips profit. Don't like paying swaps and not much on the calendar, anyway the trade is still valid under 0.8435 and I am thinking about getting in again around 0.8390.
What caused the currency price to move?

EURJPY trailed stop loss got hit collecting additional +235 pips on average. I am flat.NZDUSD on daily chart is shaping a gravestone doji candlestick pattern, signaling the top is near. Lets see what happens.

Do the math, it can't be sustained. The irony is: the markets can't exist without dumb money.At least I warned about it.

NZDUSD chart a little bit ugly, but ideally the rally should be stopped at 76.4% retracement and price should turn lower. I entered short but on small position. If I get stopped I locked enough profits on EURJPY to cover the losses. Lets see.http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ahuruglica/NZDUSD_Ni.png
