Not at all. I just like to discover facts that may or may not have been highlighted by the system vendors.Asian scalpers can do very well but they are notoriously broker dependent and generally operate with poor risk/reward ratios.Just trying to establish the facts before I consider parting with my hard earned money. It will also save the vendors administration as they wouldn't have to process my refund when I ask for one.See, everyone's a winner!

Interesting that your 24/5 EA has only traded between the hours of 22:00 and 03:00 so far.Is this perchance an Asian session scalper?

Still trying to work out if this is working as the backtests project it will or not Cas.The EA is designed to get into a trade if it thinks things are going in the right direction but using a tight stop loss, generally between 10-20 pips depending on the currency pair. If it hits this stop loss and the conditions are still favourable it will get into another trade, at the higher position. So it can suffer several losses in a row on the same pair if it gets choppy.If it gets it correct it can earn as much as 300 pips - I'm sure you can work out what percentage that would add to the account ...

Yesterday's sluggish markets due to the US Bank Holiday didn't do any favours. Mental note to self - Don't start tests on NFP Friday, especially not when a bank holiday follows!Seems to be recovering nicely now fortunately.

Hi Favoured111,Thanks for your comments.I don't trade on ZuluTrade. I used to but the are not 100% reliable so I stopped. I'm currently reviewing ZipSignals as they are supposed to be a lot better.This EA, believe it or not doesn't work in it's current form. Well not very well anyway. The backtest was generated on London session spreads, which at the time were about 1 pip on Eur/Chf. During the period this EA changes the spread is generally around 1.6 on the best brokers. I was trying to improve it but then I came up with Behemoth, which is a lot more promising. I am currently ...

There are range bar scripts out there for MT4 and they do work. Yes you have to run an offline chart and there can be a minimal delay but unless it's a scalping strategy it doesn't affect them too much.

I'm running a trial on ZipSignals at the moment. The site was started by somebody who lost money on ZuluTrade due to their poor execution of orders and he's aiming for high reliability. So hopefully no missed stop losses etc.It would be really good if someone actually mastered the mirror signal business model as it's a great concept in theory. In practice it's used by people who can't trade themselves, get greedy and lose all their money.

Hi CasTrader,I'm hiding the bad start so I can more easily assess where it's up to from today. Otherwise I can't assess the performance of each pair with the new version. The bad start wasn't caused by NFP, although it did contribute three losing trades on the Eur/Jpy spike but was mainly caused by the spread widening as the markets moved towards closing.Some pairs use as little as a 15 pip stop loss and often get into a new trade after the stop loss is hit. As the spread on USD/CHF widened to 12 pips this gave the EA a 3 pip range to play around in! The account lost about $700...

Hi Sami,Nowhere.In it's current form this EA does not work properly. The backtest was generated on the spread during the London session and it trades outside this period when the spreads are wider. I was trying to improve it's performance but now I am focusing on my new EA Behemoth. Steve

I'm sure there is a danger that there could become an "in crowd" and there is no guarantee that those people actually know what they are talking about. My original suggestion came about as I felt that there is a high chance of MyFxBook being abused by unscrupulous marketeers. Adding a vouch system will allow people to easily see whether somebody touting the latest super system actually has any credibility and whether their systems or services should be investigated further. I'm sure we will end up with people on here that have been vouched for that know little about trading, ...

Good work on implementing the voucher system.Is there anything in place to stop abuse? It might be good to see who has vouched for who. That way we can see if someone has created twenty accounts and used them to vouch themselves up to maximum.

Account got massacred on Friday due to the appalling spread widening with USD/CHF at one stage moving up to as much as 12 pips!I've now added in a spread filter to the account so that trades are not placed if the spread is too high, this will also help with avoiding trading on news spikes.I could start another demo account but I think it's going to be interesting to see it recover from this position.

I think it's about 99% likely that this is indeed the case. It's certainly not the broker that Dominic claims it to be.
