Setting minimum vouch for commenting in a system´s thread

Hi Aimak,Minimum vouch level is not going to serve the purpose you have in mind. There are some who have sufficient vouches but yet go around trashing everyone's thread for no rhyme or reason. It's probably their way of dealing with their own inferiority complex. 😀 And like you have mentioned, they do this to those who trade profitably. It would be a better idea if the system owner has the option of banning the noise makers from their thread... just like the admin of a blog is able to do.But I agree with your basic suggestion, that there has to be some mechanism that allows us t...

You've embarked on a very interesting challenge indeed. I hope you are able to achieve it. Wish you all the best ! EA's have very recently triggered my interest, since there seem to be some that seem to be profitable and sustainable. Tracking yours with interest. 😉Enjoy your trading.

I wonder whether the big "hidden" agenda is to completely eliminate all "retail" brokers ?😱 Probably because they are eating into the large financial institutions/banks ? More than they originally anticipated.Well... I suppose at the end of the day, if all this results in a scenario where all brokerages globally fall in-line with a banking-like regulatory system it would be good for us ? Just thinking out aloud. 😉

Why are the U.S traders being given such a hard time ? Are the authorities "actually" doing all this in the traders' best interest or do they only think they are ? Are the traders actually being protected by all these new regulations? Just doesn't seem fair in my opinion. Didn't realize your govt. can actually do things to even prevent non-U.S brokers from serving U.S clients. Doesn't really seem fair to prevent traders who are quite capable of making their own choices and decisions.Oh well... I hope u guys figure out a good alternative. 😉Wish u guys all the b...

Hi Steve,I think they're still working on it. I posted a link just above which probably explains the difficulty they might be having. And in my opinion, the drawdown should be based on the equity, like the brokerages show for the PAMM accounts. It reflects the true fluctuation, drawdown and a better understanding of risk exposure in one's trading. Perhaps they can show both figures - balance drawdown (based on closed losses) and equity drawdown (based on the lowest floating loss ever incurred)I think myfxbook staff is trying to implement it to reflect drawdown based on the equity.Thx.

yeah then it's a bug.... drawdown calculation shouldn't be affected by your withdrawals. Only your balance-curve should be affected by it. Anyway I think they're still working on this issue.

Actually I was also right in my first post about DD being calculated using the balance... ie: closed trades.Check this out :http://www.myfxbook.com/community/suggestion-box/drawdown/23356,1Am I still a clown ? 😀

Well then this obviously isn't working correctly. Take my account for example. You see the little dip in my equity curve ? But my drawdown says 0.0% .I exchanged PM's with another user a couple days ago whose account showed more than 100% drawdown due to some bug which he reported to myfxbook. It had been ok for a while after that but it happened again apparently.

It's certainly not showing the highest drawdown on the equity. At least that's not how I remember it being shown on myfxbook earlier ? The reason I mentioned withdrawals.. was to ascertain whether or not there is a bug here. Since there are no losing trades, the only other explanation would be to assume that it's showing drawdown on equity... but myfxbook wasn't using "drawdown" to show the drawdown based on equity but on losing trades earlier.... if I'm not mistaken. Hence my question. I perfectly understand what drawdown is. 😉

Hi Steve,Any idea why this shows drawdown although there haven't been any losing trades ? Has it got anything to do with the withdrawals by any chance ? I remember seeing someone else's also with the same kind of thing (ie: drawdown with no losing trades) and couldn't figure out how and why. It doesn't even use a custom-date filter. Is it a bug ?

Either they don't want the EUR to appreciate anymore or they've been drinking too much beer and are on the wrong side of the market? 😁

SOLAR ->1. it is very obvious from your 1st post that you were prejudiced and had your mind already made up to attack my trading style, which is why you were so blinded by the fact that this is a real account and you called it demo and rattled your mouth off. So it is you who started insulting.2. My 2nd comment was based on facts provided by you : 8 yrs of trading / One 5 month old real account / Nett loss of -3.14% / and talk like a master trader & Forex Pundit without any results to show. So yes that qualifies you to be called a "wanna be trader" and a clown. If you feel ins...

8yrs of trading ??? And all you've got to show is 5 months of a real account for a nett loss of -3.14% ??? Lol !! 😁And yet you talk like a "forex trading PUNDIT" ??? You sound like a "wanna be" successful trader who only talks big because that's all you seem to be able to do. Results speak louder than empty words. Someone like you who talks without any results to show are like empty vessels that make a loud noise. Your vouchers mean zilch. And you regret there is no anti-vouch system here so you can anti-vouch traders like me ??? Go learn how to trade... or ...

SOLAR - r u blind ? This is a verified REAL account. "Hold & Hope" ? Why don't you try this so-called "Hold & Hope" strategy even with a demo yourself and see whether you can produce results like mine over the same length of time ? Go spend time learning how to trade instead of wasting time being negative about someone else's style of trading without even having a clue as to what it is. I see how wonderful your trading is > I am not surprised at your results with a negative mindset such as this. And you have the audacity to talk like some master trader an...

Steve - good idea. I suggested (in another thread in the suggestion box) including another column in the trade history to show for each trade the drawdown it was in before being closed either at profit or loss. I suggested this to be shown in pips for each trade closed. But now that they've included % change in the history, I think showing this drawdown for each trade in % is a better idea.I'm not 100% sure I've understood your suggestion correctly but I think it would be great if just below the drawdown figure another can be introduced to show the maximum "equity drawdown %&q...
