nice trade still:) This system is showing lots of promise well done! It would be less prone to slippage and spread widening too compared with a news straddling EA.

did it catch the initial 2000 pip drop on NZDUSD? I found a fault in my straddling News trader EA it opened pending on AUDUSD instead of NZDUSD it would have made a killing otherwise. Waiting on a fix.

thanks for that mate. I will fund my pepperstone and give it a go. I have a news trading EA to try. Do you avoid news when there is more than one set of data on the same currency being released i.e. one can be positive and one negative and you get a whipsaw effect all in the space of millisecond hitting your SLs? I have started to notice it's better when just one major set of data being released. i.e.. earlier today the GBP news positive industrial but poor manufacturing data (up and down very quickly) trigger pending orders both directions etc.

Looks interesting I wonder how it would work on a real account with slippage especially during news events... I have been using a great EA on news events for demo but doesn't work well in real due to slippage...

okay thanks for that. 9.53% drawdown for 130% return is fantastic. Can't wait for strategy to be finalized. Also I notice this account has stopped updating ... was May 24th. Other viper accounts seems to be updating okay. cheers

I did notice drawdown at 84% so probably wouldn't run at 20 times risk, but good to push it to the limits during testing phase so you can discover the optimal ratio of DD to % gain, pips etc. well done!

I would be interested in PAMM / MAM hope with IC Markets or Global Prime. I think that Global Prime has a similar PAMM/MAM operator that they even set up a custom liquidity feed once he reached a certain volume and any LPS that were rejecting and taking too long were removed, to ensure low slippage and very fast execution.

The slippage I am finding kills good trades on news if you are trying to capture the initial spike and also when there is a large whipsaw movement. A strategy that seeks to capture the moves in the currency after news is published but starts a trend that you can capture would be good to I guess you need wider SL set so the spread widening doesn't take you out but you can get on wrong side when your pending orders are triggered but the initial move wasn't the 'correct' one and it quickly reverses, like what I assume happened with your GBP news above? good luck though will foll...
