I use EA's but I prefer using a JAVA API. Lot quicker. If you have questions ask, if I can answer it I will, don't mind helping out a bit.

What is brilliant about this is that it moves you beyond indicators, which is where 99% of traders get stuck. I haven't bothered with indicators for years. Load of crock.Bending your mind around this lot will get you into the right concepts to make fx work for you. You'll notice after a while that you don't even bother with indicators and you'll probably do better than ever. See it starts becoming about position sizing. When to own more, when to own less and so on...and that is key to fx.

The amateur way of doing it is to overlay two data series on a chart - lets say eurusd and gbpusd, as they move further apart bet they will towards each other. Simple as that.

But for this kind of trading you got to know your shit. Betting x cents a pip just doesn't cut it. Got to be able to work out position values and basically a whole pile of things that Metatrader just doesn't even begin to cover. Oanda reports a bit more but in the end you'll need to be able to do the math via spreedsheets mostly as this information just isn't available freely.

http://www.forexticket.co.uk/en/tools/01-01-correlationeurusd and usdchf have a correlation of about -80%, so one goes up, other goes down.

Just watch the logs hey, depending on EA and VPS the hard drive can fill very quickly. I easily run 10 or 20 on a single VPS. And API's as well on the same server, burn through over 100 GIG data a month. Cheaper to do via VSP than a connection at home by a few thousand dollar.

If I was in Iran the last the thing in the world I would be worried about is trading. I'd be in the back garden digging a shelter for the coming war, which in all truth is most likely going to go global. Maybe I should start digging here as well....

I wouldn't call them an exchange though, which is what they pitch themselves as. Had a look at them and quite frankly I think Oanda is a better proposition.

In the 70's gold was $800 an ounce, today that be $3000. If US had to go back to gold standard gold would have to go to a whopping $45 000 an ounce.Smart move to keep some around if you ask me.

Leaving the euro will most likely be good for the euro. Like divorcing your big spending wife. The question is really, if they default will they cause a bank like JP Morgan to fold?Do a search on "bank OTC exposures" and you'll get an idea of what's at risk here. Very likely we all go back to the stoneage for a while if JP Morgan fails.... Other than that Greece will do what Greece will do, doesn't even help to try worry about what's going to happen there, just roll with it as it unfolds.

Jesse, You don't understand mate.For a modern pro there is no decision making process or this or that circumstances. The only thing that influences profitability is volatility. All circumstances are profitable and the speed of said circumstances determines how profitable.

A true professional doesn't feel the market anything. Those days are long gone. He writes a algorithm that interprets the data correctly and logs in from his phone on the beach from time-to-time to see how much money he's made so far today, and if everything is still on.

0% DD, 1000% P/M and four blonds and a brunette. And some cold beer. That is what I expect from a decent system. Give you $50 for it as well, but half the profits of your sales, seeing that it was my idea. Especially the brunette bit, bit a genius right there. Makes it very marketable.
