Great work taking this account to the sky, Primeval, Hope you're not afraid of heights :)I noticed there are no commissions charged to you by Collective fx. Is this the case for all their clients or maybe just for IB's? I am thinking of opening an account with them but they don't seem very accessible. Would you recommend them for a "normal" trader, or only if you are gong to be an IB?Keep up the good workWayne

Thanks for your interest, Jprize, Unfortunately I won't be selling my EA but I do plan to use it for account management once I establish my track record. I am also working on a couple of features that will add more profit, pinpointing spots in which to multiply my trade size for scalps in addition to the bigger profit targets. Gains are steady, but not being maximized like I believe they can. Thanks againGood luck tradingWayne

I agree that automated is the only way to go. As traders we sometimes try to salvage bad trades and end up making them much worse, also I know there can come a time where we get down too far and then refuse to take a loss risking much more than we ever intended. I had to separate my manual trades from my EA (in a separate account) because in the past manual trades destroyed the work my EA had done. You have a good EA but this issue of the stop loss for this grid trading may be a challenge to work out. AUDNZD looks like it could be trending to a new level, but who knows? GL to all of us. ...

Hi Prime, A question about your grid trading on the Aud/Nzd Does this strategy utilize a stop loss? I see there is no stop loss indicated, but i see some trades are exited for various amounts? Not having a stop loss for this trading can be a little worrisome if we get caught in a trend reversal that runs 1000 pips to a new level. Also, is this account strictly automated or are there some mixed manual trades in here as well? Thanks

As of November 17 I am no longer running Primeval 2.1 on this account. I only ran it for about a week and actually lost about 70 dollars. I will try version 2.2 on Primeval’s managed account, but I do not have faith in this earlier version. So it is all my EA “YenMastX” from here on out. My EA will prove the test of time as I have been developing and testing it for 2 years now. At the time of this post my drawdown is only 3.3% but as back testing and forward testing has showed me the drawdown will be around 15-20% which I consider acceptable. I can run on certain setting...

This account is running my self-made EA, “YenMastX”, two years in the making (and still under minor development). I was going to run both my EA and Primeval 2.1 on this account and then separate the 2 EAs on the charts. I will do this IF I continue to run Primeval. But at this point I feel it may be better to just trade Primeval 2.2 on Primevala’s managed account and run my EA here. All profit growth at this point is from my EA.It’s easy to tack my EA as I am running only Euro/Yen and latter will add Pound/Yen (two pairs that Primeval does not trade). So, in short,...

For anyone who may be skeptical of the verification issue with ATC i can verify that ATC is giving me the same response with my new account, saying they can't (or won't?) verify my account. Silly. I will talk to them about this further, but i think they are claiming it has to do with not taxing their servers more than needed. Tough break on the manual trades, Prime, but this manual stuff is hard. That's why we like EAs, right? Market has been crazy last two days. Wicked whipsaw action. I think your EA is still looking good though. GlWayne

Hey SIM, I've been watching your system and I'm impressed. I have been working on my EA for almost 2 years and it is a struggle. My system is a momentum system but I am incorporating martingale elements onto it now. I am successful with a few pairs but would like to expand potential. It would mean the world to me if you could share anything about what indicators you trade off of and any info you might share. For instance, are you trading off of an up down angle of a 1 or 2 candle daily ema as many martingale systems do? I trade off 15 minute and 1 hour time frame, depending on w...

Hey Gil, just a quick question, You mentioned my EA having a notable draw down. What percentage DD are you seeing? I only have it at 18%. Do you consider this a big DD? I think anything under 25% is acceptable given the volatile nature of currency.Best

I think i answered my own question above. The link pc provided shows hawkfx's real account, but if this is an account you can open with 100 bucks, and trade micro's at 400/1 leverage you can be sure it's not an ECN account with tight spreads. You simply cannot trade any scalping EA that I'm aware of with normal (wide) spread brokers. Thanks for the link though pc

Any idea what kind of spreads this "EXNESS" broker provides (the link above)? The only way a scalping EA has any chance, as we all know, is from a broker who provides the best possible spreads - ECN brokers, etc. I wonder if this would account for the difference between Steve's demo and this real account - the broker spread?

Hey Gil,These charts were actually my beta test of my custom EAs, but i quickly realized they needed hedging capability and i also realized it was foolish to run them on Alpari US as they don't allow hedging (i can't get Alpari UK as they won't take US clients).I have since done a lot of developing to my EAs and you will see some new charts with new brokers in a week or two. Very busy with other things right now. Thanks for your interest though.Wayne

Scalping in this market and in the Asian session is very difficult right now (and last few weeks in particular) the Vix is coming down but too many pairs at critical points and the action is very volatile. These are the times sizes need to be reduced or only come into the market a few days out of the week.GL primeval and to us all

I agree with Prime. How can anyone expect to be taken seriously if all they publish are demo account results? At least use a micro account and put a couple hundred dollars in it if you think your EA is really any good.I really get tired of seeing demo account hype.

Thanks guys, interesting to watch version 1 as well. Just a note, i noticed the trade size is off on some of the accounts 1 micro lot size for a 10 k account. Consequently, you're getting too low of a profit. You might want to adjust the trade size up as it should be.Could you say a word about what the weakness of version 1 was that you improved upon in version 2? I understand if you don't want to reveal too much of the logic though. Did you have a wider SL in V1 that you tightened to 36 pips in V2 ? Thanks

Hey Prime, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't your latest version of Primeval cut the trading time down to just a couple of hours each day? Your version 1 had a longer trading period, correct? I know you have likely improved profit in your latest version, but it would be interesting to see version 1 tracked along side your latest version. Just a thought.Best

I am wondering what the issue is in terms of this EA trading differently among different accounts. I was watching the two different accounts at the following links and on the 15 k account the EA kept taking out sell positions (5 open at the time of this post) as euro usd was going up. On the second account with same 1 minute time frame and same currency the EA was buying. In 2 spots the EA placed buy orders where, on the other account, it placed sell orders. 15k account http://vps.iamfx.com/erp/fx/ro/5012/1 million accounthttp://vps.iamfx.com/erp/fx/ro/5883/I understand settings can be dif...

I second the fact that anyone who has a legit EA will try to provide as much transparency as possible, otherwise something else is going on. And make no mistake about it. Anyone who has a successful EA will not be looking to sell it. This is a hilarious proposition. Only a fool would do such a thing. Brokers drool at the idea of leasing an EA that does well, and this is where the owner can make big bucks. Sell your EA, and sell your chance at financial success lol...Side thought...Anyone who trades currency for over a year knows that trying to make money in forex can be like trying to p...
