LOL I actually just opened my platform and kicked myself for not exiting my open trades a few hours ago when they moved 80 pips each in profit....now I'm only up 40 each 😁 Oh well, stops at breakeven anyways so I'll wait and see......$6000? The main idea of OP's topic was gaining 3000%+ in 1 month using $50,000 real money. Statistically it's near impossible. I have yet to see anyone do it and if you know someone who has please steer me their direction. Like I said, if they existed SOMEONE would know about it because every major financial firm in the world would be trying to hire them. Thank you for the kind words. I have been in forex for quite awhile and do have an extremely simple yet obviously profitable technique. The key is to not watch your trades-- you have to trust your decision to take the trade and let the market do its thing. That's why you have a stop-loss and a take-profit. If you planned on watching every tick then why use them. What days you choose to not trade should be based on your trading style and strategy.I usually avoid Fridays and days of bank minutes or Interest Rate decisions. Believe it or not, some of my best trades have been on Sunday evening 😁

Forex market was open to retail traders in 1997. But 15 years later, this so called "easy" feat has still not been proven by anybody to my knowledge...even with the advent of high-performance computers and sophisticated programmers....If you start trading 10-20 lots at ANY broker you will encounter major slippage and off-quotes that will make it extremely difficult to repeat what people have been doing on demo. The short answer is no.If it were possible, that individual would make headline news and everyone would know about them by now. I have seen someone work hard and double a $25K deposit in 1 month, but 100% gain is not nearly as unrealistic as 3000%.

Appreciate the kind words.....actually would be up a good $30K-50K+ more had I just let recent trades hit their targets. 😄This might sound cheeky but I really haven't put much effort into trading. This makes no sense to me....I would think being a Canadian resident, having a Canadian broker would be easiest for taxes and what not. Is there a reason you recommend against it? OANDA is headquartered in Canada and accepts traders in Canada as long as they have Canadian bank account. They are regulated by the IIROC and all customer funds are protected the CIPF. I am in the U.S. and have been with OANDA for 2 years now....no problems ever....best broker I've ever used.....best spreads I've ever encountered.....

Most banks, not all, trade only at the top of the hour on the Hourly chart. They take an institutional perspective (trading by Daily, Weekly, etc) but because the market is so big, every hour one or more banks are making a move (I'm talking high volume sessions, London and NY). One thing about backtesting, since you are looking at the past, it is worthless as an indicative tool of the future. I only rely on what works in the real-world.IMO, Those stops and targets are way too tight. That's like something you would trade on a 1 minute chart. I'll repeat what I said earlier-- scalpers do not make a living in Forex. You can have a zillion pips but if each pip is only worth $0.01 then that "reasonable number" is moot. It all depends on your position sizing. I have been trading Forex full-time since 2010. My best month (ever) was 657 pips. That was last May. I've had times where I made 300 pips in one week and months where I only netted 100 pips. Just gotta go with the flow. To answer your question, I think netting anywhere between 300-500+ pips a month is good.😄
