The bot now using a different magic number of 4668 and the entry logic is slightly different than the original ( I noticed in oct 13 on AUDUSD). my comments of this strategy are posted on my website under Social signals "Rev Trader Strategy"

My BT was from jan til now on GU H4 data using Bars only. Any further back and the BT is not profitable but more so breakeven at best. The exit logic was based on RR, and preset TP, I was using about 50 pips for the TP while using Equity 1% gain to close the trades within a basket with a max loss of 1%. Therefore RR was 1:1. Now after looking at more of these trades, I can see that it does have a closing logic which I can add to close stragglers. My first step is always entry logic, then I can use other methods to improve the strategy once a stable RR is found.

if uptrend, enter buy after the 3rd H4 Down Bar and if downtrend, enter a sell after the 3rd H4 Upbar. the trending filter could be something from a longer term view.

Difficult yes, but http://www.myfxbook.com/members/togr/caesar2icma/737724 is no other than your strategy. It would only take a slight parameter setting to get different results than your Casear400. You know its risky, and each version is slightly different with your core Grid element. We both know diversifying into several strategies is mandatory and in the end, you can point to the good version and disregard the bad results.

You know well enough that 1 year of profits is nothing in FX when using a strategy that risks so much to make a small profit. I guess the feeling is similar to watching a martingale Grid or pure martingale strategy trade for a long time, than take several losses to validate its not a long term viable strategy but only a rinse repeat strategy where continual profit withdrawals are in place AND most importantly, to run it again after a crash.

A long period of time that you mention is very short for the time it takes to prove long term profitability. Currently, 33% stopout for a daily gain of around 1% results in a horrible R/R. Time will clarify this, until then, it's your money at risk.

Thank you for sharing this. I had to test it out myself and you are 100% correct that myfxbook does have the resources to complete this task. If myfxbook can Display the Server NAME, wouldn't that clear up the issue?

The server Type is exactly what we need to end this debate and your system can already do it. As you can see in this picture, RoboForex broker has a server ONLY for CENT accounts, it is called ProCent while the standard accounts use the server PRO or ECN . My point exactly. The account number is private. How would you know the account number? BTW, roboforex doesn't have any account type that starts with 3.

very good points @willgart - I feel the same way about those equity curves. Too good to be true or too lucky from the beginning. Their designed to fail without taking a hard stop out. We can detune them to make less money each month and add a protective stop out to restart the system.. preserve risk capital

It started with a 7 and all cent accounts start with 7 at Roboforex while the standard accounts are 2 and ECN are 8.
