NO.If a trade is profitable either close it out and take the profit, or move your stop loss up to lock in your profits and let the trade run it's course until it hits your take profit target.If you have a longer running trade and you see it is profitable, how is being emotional about it going to help the trade?It isn't going to help at all. Emotions have no place in trading.

"Good" emotions (joy, happiness, excitement, etc...) will give a people a false sense of superiority when it comes to their trading and causes people to over trade with the expectation they are going to "win big" or some other such nonsense."Bad" emotions (anger, depression, despair, etc...) will give people a "fight or flight" kind of response that happens when a trader makes a really bad trade. This causes people to over trade and make bad trading decisions such as trying to trade themselves out of a bad situation on their account with massive lot/unit...

In my opinion, the highest priority for any investor is to always protect the investment capital FIRST, everything else is secondary to this. The market will let you know when to enter, how much your trades are worth, and when to get out.Don't worry about how many PIPS you are going to get each day.

All of those things you've mentioned S/R, Momentum, Pivots, and others..... Those are all technical indicators. You've pointed out "none of it seems to work for me". it is important to be aware of this.If relying on technical indicators alone could make people rich, then it would be reasonable to assume that there would be a lot more people making money with Forex.If something isn't working for you, it's important to understand why it doesn't work.

There should always be a written specifications check list that both the programmer and client work from.If it's not in the written specs, then it's not part of the project. Incorrect.You don't need pay for any "secret" bank trading techniques or some other absurdly expensive classes.Just learn a solid foundation of the basics first and you can become a very good trader.

I've written thousands of EA, Indicators, and scripts.My standard consulting rate is $125.00 USI'm happy to answer general programming questions when people encounter a problem, but that's generally only when I find the project interesting and I happen to have a few minutes of spare time on my hands.But even then I have my limits. If people aren't willing to do the work required, then I'm certainly not going to just spoon feed them the answers for free.

It doesn't matter if you can see it or not. MT4 IS being discontinued. MT4 is still available through brokers that currently still offer it.However, it is no longer available as a public download from Metaquotes.MT4 is being phased out and the main focus for development and distribution is MT5.
