Going for 5 pips GREATLY increases the chance of hitting a StopLoss and it means that you'll have to widen stops just to hang around long enough to get to 5. EURCHF/EURGBP only has a 50-60 pip daily range. so trying for 5 (a 10% move) is VERY risky for this pair. 1 or 2 pips can be hit just by the market bounces of normal trading - outside of that you're playing with FIRE!!

I don't get it. If you are just running a EA you downloaded thats one thing but I wont even spend my time researching and writing something that wont run in the real world (or be able to be relayed to paying clients) 1 pip scalpers are fun but useless.

He has open trades. They're just private so we cant see them. If you subtract the Balance($4263.45) minus Equity($3116.38) then you'll see he's in -1,147.07 of drawdown right now (26.9% DD). Why hide it? LOL! - Don't be ashamed of the ugliness since they usually work out anyway.

If the trade size is small 1000 pip stoplosses can actually work since they get hit so rarely. Most people will accept 30% drawdown so that gives you 3 hits of 0.10 lotsize on a 10k account. Usually that wont happen (look at his drawdown) and if you're playing other currencies they can blunt the edge by continuing to win while you're waiting for the 10% hit. The main drawback is a 1K stop will leave you with trades open for weeks until they come back to profit.

LOL! - Don't even think about it! - NO Broker maintains a fixed 1 pip spread. Even the best ECN's fluctuate as the banks Bid/Ask shift. Good call Robert - The ISEA Demo dream machine LIVES!! - Realworld slippage will KILL YOU trading scalpers.

When you set up your portfolio ON STOCKTWITS you use the $EURUSD. That way on Stocktwits I just go to my portfolio ON STOCKTWITS and select EURUSD - I only see posts that have $EURUSD in them. That way it filters out posts that are just casual chat about EURUSD and I see mostly action posts where people are buying or selling the EUR. And I'd stop sending my signals 1 second after the first broadcast!! I use this site to demo my signals to prospective clients NOT to give them away in any form for cash that doesn't end up in MY pocket!! OR I'd just adjust the updates for every 4+ hours. (of course if they ever decided to go wacky and program this idea they could just allow traders to opt-in or out of the broadcast)There IS something that can show you what the herd thinks in real-time though. Why NO HTML Links in the Messages posted here? This forum is moderated so whats the biggie? Simply put a 'Report This Post' button and we'll self-moderate and flag stuff that we think crosses the line (LOL! - Just notice the 'Report' button is already there). Also I couldnt even attach a TXT document ("Not Allowed") - WHATS UP WITH THAT!!?

RoboMiner is a great EA that appear to use a 'Hold and Hope' strategy but its a lot smarter than that. It trades the AUDNZD pair. This pair has historically traded within a pretty tight range. So he plays it up and down from the midpoint. If its above the midpoint he sells every X pips and if its below the midpoint he buys every X pips. It always has a drawdown but the trades will eventually close for a profit. Actually after watching the system still make profits during the great 2008 crash - I have no idea what it would take to blow it up. (Maybe the 2nd Coming?) - So YES it does hav...

Selling it doesnt bother me because half the products they review have NEGATIVE Profit/Loss. Most of those review sites dont care who wins the race. Why should they? They sell the Winners AND the Losers. Its not like they're hyping a single EA. Buy anyone that you want. If I set up a review site for every EA I could get my hands on I would use affiliate links too. Why not? Its a win/win - I'd be providing a valuable review service and getting paid if you decide to buy BUT would I care which EA was on top. Not Really.

It really doesn't bother me if only closed trades are used in the calculation as long as the correct equity number is there. Bal: $142,005.01 - Equity: $72,437.16 - So I can easily calculate that -69,567.85 is floating. (Even though a Floating P/L should be in the stats). If its a hold and hope strategy with no exit strategy then Father Time will take care of it. Just like Martingales, the truth of the market always get told in the end. The Blowup is inevitable.

I dont care about a pip or 2. I care about am I gonna be requoted, stop hunted, platform froze, etc... With a ECN those questions arent even part of your relationship. When my EA triggers a signal - PLACE MY ODER!! - No Games, No Tricks, Just do what I'm paying you to do! With ECN's you can add TP/SL and know its safe because no games are gonna be played.
